Hello! Me again :D
So I start back to work Monday. My little 11 week old has decided that any and all artificial nipples are vile and not to be tolerated. Its not the milk she doesn't like, as she is drinking my pumped milk. She wants nothing to do with the nipple/bottle. We have spent a small fortune on different flow/shapes/materials (ie: silicone/latex) to no avail. I've come to the conclusion she is just going to hate it for a few days and eventually take to it.
But, to anyone who has 'been there done that', how long is this struggling to get her to take a bottle thing going to last? At some point they start taking it willingly, right???
All the research I have done on different sites says 'if they are hungry enough they will take the bottle' or 'try a dropper/spoon/cup to get them to take some milk in' but spoon feeding 1 ounce increments for the duration of my childs infancy hardly sounds like a solution. Where's the instruction manual when you need it? Or a wet-nurse? :)
FYI: I plan to still BF when I am home. I work 24hrs/week
