    Boyfriend in nursing school

If the relationship falls apart so be it. There are other fish in the sea.

I see quite alot of tall nurses

People are taller now. I am 5 11. When I was young being that tall was unusual. Now it isn't.

    Need TLC from fellow nurses

You need to set boundaries. When they make snide comments, such as your weight, say "my doctor thinks my weight is perfect and I would appreciate it if you don't make personal comments about my body". Then smile and change the subject. Eventually they will give up.

Genetic testing - would you? Did you?

I wouldn't want to know that I was going to have a disease like that. I'd be depressed waiting for it to happen. I'd rather be blissfully ignorant.

    What's your love story?

Four years ago I met a guy, we dated, we lived together ,got engaged, had serious issues, I broke up with him and moved out. For 2 years we would run into one another socially, but we were just polite. Then one day he said he might be moving out of state for a job. I was shocked at how much that upset me. So I said would you like to start dating again?.He said yes, a few days later he got an out of state job offer which he accepted. I spent a few days debating whether I should go with him. I took a leap of faith, moved to another state, got a new job, and 4 months later I asked him to marry me. We're getting married in 3 weeks. I am thrilled.

dating- this ever happen to you?

I wish every young nurse could understand the ramifications of being a nurse. Everyone will look upon you as a savior. People who for whatever reason can't really be fully adult and care for themselves will latch upon your good will. I didn't understand this for years! I was pursued by a man who desperately wanted to marry me. He wined and dined me and made me feel like the most desirable woman in the world, until I realized that he really just wanted a private duty nurse to administer to his every whim. Before that I was married to a man who expected me to work overtime, (while pregnant), pay all the bills, do all the housework, do everything that needs doing in a family, while he sat around and smoked. It took me awhile to wake up and smell the coffee. I did online dating, and every man I met just wanted a private duty nurse. In any pending relationship ask yourself, does this person want the REAL ME, or just the NURSE ME?.Is he there for you when YOU need support?

What is your plan for retirement?

I really wish I had made more of an effort to save money when I was younger. I kept thinking I would save money later and later never came. Young people don't get it. You WILL get old, assuming you don't die first, so SAVE money NOW! Right now my focus is on getting out of debt.
