I'm a pro-choice Christian. I don't "like" abortion...and I don't think ANYONE does. I think EVERYONE is pro-life. Last time I checked, most of us would like things to result in life, etc. However, this isn't a perfect world, and people have to make decisions that may not be perfect by another persons standards.
I am pro-choice NOT because I agree with people who have elective abortions, but because I feel that God thinks we are all good enough to make our own decisions. He gives us free-will and I'll be damned (no pun) if the government doesn't.
I don't think I have the ability to participate in an abortion because I am highly sensitive. HOWEVER, if it was an urgent situation and the mother was in dire need..yes, I would. And I would make it as comfortable as possible. God wouldn't be mad at me and I wouldn't be worried about getting into Heaven. He knows our hearts.
Sorry, but I hope that, if not in my lifetime, that in my childrens, this issue will not be so taboo. Abortion is VERY common and a part of life for WAY too many women for the ignorance to continue to surround it. I guess no one can EVER truly know what it's like until they walk a mile in a vulnerable, terrified, woman's shoes who is in a very desparate situation with no support.
