    A referendum on the redeemer

spin again. Never once chided anyone. pointed out that I would not be drawn into a confrontation of their choosing when I was directing the post to someone specific. But that their views and comments were always welcome. nothing "twisty" about it.

    A referendum on the redeemer

if you being wrong about the intent of my post is quibbling, then so be it. No where is it said he is treated badly or not treated well. spin again.

    A referendum on the redeemer

indeed, especially when reading what you want to hear.

AND I certainly made the point to make it clear I was definitely NOT put upon. All comments were welcome at all times. But I won't be distracted from my original intent.

that's where compromise comes in, and how it actually works. yours is obstructionism. no solutions were offered. it was "we want it this way or no way".

add mindreading to s's mom's list of talents. as it stands, I admit you are quite incorrect. But I say it in the most respectful manner. And I don't recall saying anything about anybody treating Tweety badly. But twisting and spinning is the norm, isn't it?

    A referendum on the redeemer

you are quite correct about the sitting, because from where I sat, it was nothing but complete obstructionism from the right, with absolutely no offer of any solution from that side other than to disagree with the entire package.

    A referendum on the redeemer

This isn't about me. I was making an observation about a poster to that actual poster, and you felt it necessary to join in. You are more than welcome to, but don't try and spin this to something it isn't.

    A referendum on the redeemer

having an already pre-conceived belief in something that happens to line up with someone else's belief is not a compromise.

Oops, you added more. Sorry I missed the addendum.

I do seriously appreciate your perspective. However as a recent lurker of these conversations, it's always "Tweety" giving the ground to the moderate-to-extreme right side, and they thank you and clap you on the back, but never have they moved an inch in their beliefs to bring the relationship closer. They just get what they want from you and continue on. Why must you be the only one giving up what you hold to be truth? That was my only point.

You may assume anything your heart desires. My post was to Tweety, but you may of course interject anything at anytime. Have fun.

Well good for you. But don't count on them to give a rat's patooty what you want. They are in for all or nothing. And for you to keep giving them ground in the name of "compromise", when you're the only one compromising, you will end up with nothing. And they will thank you and praise you all the way to their total domination. But you'll be living in your satisfaction of "compromising".

Tweety, I so get your desire to argue without offending, but it's getting to the point where you are going to get splinters on that a$# of yours if you continue to tightly straddle that fence in each post.

    Those Cheating Voting Booths

I'd bet the inanimate object would know the answer. :lol2:
