    auto loan rates

Yeah vanilla bean, I've been waiting for like 3 or 4 months already. Ford sometimes offers 0% around this time of year and that's when I jumped on the mustang 2 years ago after looking all summer. But Dodge and it seems a lot of manufacturers are increasing interest rates at the moment. They already started production on the 19's with factory discounts of around 3.5k on the 18 challenger, but a lot of people have been getting them for about 6-7k off. I was cross shopping them 2 years ago and what started me looking at them again was ads for 10-12k off. But after reading the fine print, that was just for somebody that qualified for all their discounts in which nobody ever does. Although I have heard of people getting awesome deals of around 10k off, but you have to be at the right place at the right time.

    auto loan rates

Hello, LPN here for 10 years. I just got a new better paying job and still have my previous PRN job. I've been thinking of upgrading my ride and noticed that the interest rates have gone up. I've been approved by Chrysler, but their rates are about 4.9%. I found some good discounts for the challenger, but I currently have 0% on my mustang. I've done some searching for credit unions, but the best I've found in which I qualify for is 3.99%. Do any of you know of any credit unions for nurses or any other place that offers good rates?

    Who met their S.O. online?

If you don't mind me asking, how do you choose which guys to reply back to (assuming you let the guy make the first contact)?

    bankruptcy?

Mostly the part that you have to pay a hefty fee to get his advice.

    Who met their S.O. online?

Any updates on good sites to use to try to meet somebody? I work 3rd shift and therefore seldom go out during the day and don't like the crowded bar scene. I'm a quiet person by nature so its hard to go up to strangers and start up a conversation. I believe I'm a good person and would respect a lady and never cheat. I'm above average looking and in good shape for my age. I'm just not that good at talking unless I get to know somebody, but its hard to meet if you don't talk obviously. I tried several of the dating sites with no real luck. The pay sites seem to pricey and eharmony is a joke as the free weekends and even the free month of February went nowhere as ladies would'nt reply back quick enough. I did get a couple dates from POF over a year ago, but neither lady was my type. I have unchanged a few emails with a couple ladies on okcupid and datehookup, but they always seem to fizzle out. I don't know if my profile is bad or I'm saying the wrong things or what? Its hard to think of things to talk about besides asking what their interests are or if they would like to chat sometime. I tried asking if they would like to meet for coffee, but that usually scares them off or they don't reply back. I don't know if I'm asking too soon or not, but don't see what the harm would be to meet in a public place to see if there is an interest? If somebody would at least give me a chance, I feel they will like me but I never get the chance. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong or advice from some of the ladies as to what they like to hear so at least somebody could get to know me?

    bankruptcy?

Yeah, I checked his stuff out and don't really agree with it. But I went ahead and filed anyway. I had to wait 6 months due to a bonus last year, but now they are supposed to be finally getting the paperwork around. I thought I was all set as I could finally pay my bills since I did'nt have to worry about all the credit cards, but now work is cutting a day away from my schedule so in effect I'm back to where I started at-about $300 short a month unless I can find a new job that is full-time or a 2nd part-time job that will work around my schedule. I may have to include the house or car in the bk, but don't want to do that. I'm even thinking of going back to school for the fourth time and starting another career. That way I could at least put the student loans in forbearance for awhile.

    Any bodybuilders out there?

Hey guys, not sure if I would be considered a real bodybuilder or not as I've never competed in a physique contest, but I did do some powerlifting contests about 15 years ago. Getting big was always my main goal, but I could never seem to get above 180 without adding too much fat or using gear (which I never have resorted to). I'm still trying, but realize time is running out to get big enough to consider competing as I recently turned 40. I can honestly say I'm in as good of shape now as I was at 30, but have to be smarter about the small injuries and joint pain at my age as it takes longer to heal and you can't ignore them like you sometimes could when you are in your 20's.

    Fish Oil

I've been using flaxseed oil (about the same thing as fish oil without the fishy aftertaste) for a couple months for its anti-inflammatory properties for both ulcerative-colitis and for the joints and it does seem to help a little, not to mention its good for the cardiovascular system.

    bankruptcy?

Hey guys, I finally talked to a lawyer as my financial situation has'nt improved at all in the past 6 months. I actually added about a grand to my credit card balances and have deferred my student loans again too. It seems I have no choice but to file unless I can find a job that makes about $3 more an hour. I got a message for an interview at a gov. facility a couple weeks ago that was supposed to pay real good, but I could never get a hold of the lady after several messages so I gave up on that. There are a couple places advertising not too far away from me, but I don't think they pay that much better than I'm making now and I hate to leave now as I'm "supposed" to get a decent bonus in about a month for staying there a year that would help for a little while and I could use part of it to pay for filing if I decide to do that. The only thing is their are no benefits where I'm at and they have a habit of not paying you for working on holidays and paying you late for bonuses too. I'm also supposed to get a small raise at a year and work a prn job occasionally, but need at least 3 days a month there to break even and I usually only get 1 or 2. I reread that thing about public service loan forgiveness and still not sure if I qualify or how you find out. But right now I'm trying to decide if I want to give up the car or house if I file. I'm thinking I want to keep the car since its a lease and I like it, but could find something a little cheaper. The lawyer agreed I could dump the house or keep it. I'm on the fence as its in a decent location and I only have about 18 years left on the mortgage. But it needs a lot of repairs that I can't afford and has a regular tree root problem that keeps coming back. Plus if you add my home equity loan, I still owe more than its worth so it may make sense to get rid of it and find a more economical place. Problem is its hard to get a new place right after filing for a year or two. I guess I could always get an apartment, but I'm getting a little old to not be paying for a place if I don't want to work another 30 years or so as I just turned 40. Any advice what to do?

    cat may be dying

update: Rascal was getting really bad the past couple days. He would hardly drink or eat at all and could barely walk. I kept putting water under his chin and he finally drank some, but then threw up some nasty brown stuff that smelled really bad. Anyway, I called another vet since mine was closed today. It did'nt take him long to diagnose him with FIP as he was getting extremely bony and had a bloated belly full of fluids. He said there was'nt much they could do besides hooking up an IV and giving him fluids, but he most likely would never eat again and would only last a couple weeks max. So I agreed and they were going to put him down tonight and then cremate him. Its kind of sad as he was a good cat, although he had a mean streak and was never a lap cat until these last couple months. He will be missed.

    cat may be dying

I borrowed a glucometer and his reading was 138. That's not terribly high so I'm not sure if he has diabetes or not. The normal for cats is 60-120, but he has'nt eaten much lately and more or less has fasted all night so it is possible its lower now because of that. He is walking very funny now and it looks like the back legs are weak. I'm not sure what to do now? I'm not sure if I should call the vet and see what he thinks? I don't think he is the best vet and he is expensive, but he's right down the road. A lady at work suggested a smaller, more private vet that should be more reasonable, but she is quite a drive away. It sounds like initial diagnosis and test usually run 200-300, but then if that's what it is insulin and special food is only about 30-40 a month. High protein and low carb diets are recommended so I may try to cut out all the dry food and just offer the canned stuff for now. Any suggestions?

    cat may be dying

I know I should'nt worry about the cost, but my financial situation is very bleak right now. I had no idea student loan payments would be as much as they are and I racked up quite a credit card debt going back to school for the second time too. I've been divorced for several years and trying to make the mortgage payment, 2nd mortgage, car lease (yeah I know I probably should'nt have got a new car last summer), and utility bills, ect. I had to put about $200 on the card last time he went and also just put groceries on there as I won't have enough left for the house payment if I did'nt. I finally have a full-time job for the first time since I got my LPN license going on 2 years ago, but at $13.50/hr its near impossible to keep caught up. My sis thinks I should file bankruptcy, but I'm close, only about $100 or so short a month. When I work my PRN job, 1 or 2 days a month makes up for it, but they have'nt had any openings in the past couple months. Its when things come up like winter tires that I just had to get, or house repairs or vet or dentist that I don't have money for that puts me in the hole farther. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't get sick either as the small company I work for does'nt have health insurance until you work there a year and then its too expensive. Plus whats up with having to pay to file bankruptcy? Anyway enough of my financial situation. I did some more research and I'm still not sure if Rascal has diabetes or something else. Even though he has most of the symptoms, I can't seem to find where a very high WBC as one of them. I wonder if I should buy a cheap glucometer and test it myself? But if he does have it I still have no access to insulin without going to the vet. My dad thinks I should have him put down so he doesn't have a drawn out suffering death. I don't know, I still don't think he's that old for a cat, but I guess they can start getting sick at his age...

    cat may be dying

My cat is sick again. I was starting to think it was just a virus, but now I think it must be something more serious. He started acting strange again a few days ago and now will hardly eat and won't drink unless I put it right under his nose. He is really boney too and probably dehydrated again. I'm not sure what to do as I can't afford a big vet bill. I never took him back for a retest of his blood as that is very pricey and I thought he was better. I wonder if the vet would just give him that shot he got before without all the workup. Whatever it was will probably just buy time though. I wonder if it could be diabetes or something? I do have some leftover prednisone that was for the other cat. I wonder if giving him that would help? It sure is'nt easy though as he is stubborn even when sick. The other cat I can open his mouth and shove it in, but Rascal will bite and scratch for dear life when I try it. I'm not sure what to do as I'm in the middle of my 3 12 hour shifts and not much time to nurse him back to health right now...

    bankruptcy?

Thanks for the link. I found something about that before but thought you had to work for the government. Reading it again it does look like regular nurses may qualify, but it sounds a little complicated. I work at a private assisted living facility so I hope that qualifies. The problem is I may need to defer my payments again and that time does'nt count towards the 120 payments. I still may have to do something else like move or file bankruptcy for the time being. I guess I could call first and see about the income-contingent payment and see if that would help. But I don't know since I've been working two jobs and a lot of hours, but with my debt its still not enough, don't know if they would consider that or not?

    cat may be dying

Good news guys! When I got up to go to work today, Rascal got up and meowed his hungry meow. So I got some moist cat food out and he ate part of it. I had to go to work, but when I got home he was at the door meowing. I fed him again and this time he woofed it right down. He then jumped up on my lap and started purring. Its amazing what that shot did if that's what helped. I'm thinking it must have been a really bad virus. He still has'nt tried to jump up on the counter like he normally does and went back behind the couch again, but seems more like his old self. Hopefully when I take him back to the vet again in a couple days, he can just get the one more shot and then he will be okay. But I don't know, it could still be something serious that the medicine is temporarily masking and I have to realize that he is starting to get old. But I guess we all are getting older and have to try to accept some of the changes that seem to happen too quickly...
