    My thoughts about ADHD.

I so totally disagree with the OP, and I don't believe the OP is such a great parent, and I truly think he should think about how his actions are affecting his childs emotions. (I guess this is the closest I got to flaming someone) I was a kid with undiagnosed ADHD, and dear Lord my life was no picnic. I used to watch the Brady Bunch when I was little, and I sure wished that my life could be like that. I tried as hard as I could to listen and be good, but I always seemed to fall short. My mom was dysfunctional too, and that didn't help. It's just flat out painful to hear your own mother say "I went through hell and back because of you kids", and nothing you could do could make you be good enough or listen enough. I wish I could at least have tried ritalin when I was little.

Jury Duty - Could you condemn someone to death?

As far as the death penalty is concerned, I think I could under the right circumstances, but I would want solid proof of guilt. Some people in this world are that evil enough. As far as self defense, I think I could if I absolutely had to, but I truly hope I don't get put in that position. I'd rather be able to run away from danger.

    Toilet Paper, Karma, and Me

That's why I always check for paper before I sit down. It's like the people in the next stall are acting like they had to pay $5 per sheet or something, they're that stingy.

    Toilet Paper, Karma, and Me

Vivalasviejas, I sure enjoyed this post. On a related note, have you ever had to ask someone in the next stall for TP, and have had them give out a piece the size of a postage stamp? I've had that happen, and it's not nearly enough for the job.

    What a dangerous new forum!

Who, me???? I wouldn't do a thing like that. Honest...

    Creating A Monster (RANT)

I haven't spent much time here lately, but one thing comes to mind. Sometimes you can't walk away. Sometimes a person has to pray for the strength and courage to do the right thing. I don't think 4 years old is quite too late for a child to change, but 18 will be. I really hate it when a woman puts a man above her kids well-being, and I hate the selfishness some of these losers exhibit. I really don't know what else to say, except you have had a lot of good advice here.

If you have it saved to your computer, just right click on the picture, go to properties and click again. Copy the address, then when you post reply, go to the yellow square button with the mountains and click on it. You paste the address in there and click OK. I hope this helps.

    A Tragic Story - Baby P

That mother SICKENS me!!:barf01::angryfire:flamesonb:spbox: There was a mother cat once that pulled her five little sweeties out of a burning building (and got burned doing it), yet this woman couldn't lift a finger to save her baby. That level of evil selfishness really gets to me.
  9. i got the idea for this thread from some similar ones i've read. sooo---here goes: things i'd love to say to "certain" people~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to my friends ex-boyfriend~~~~~ you’re the biggest exit-only orifice of the equine persuasion that i ever did see, and you’re such an idiot i’m surprised darwinism hasn’t already smacked you upside the head. (get a clue!!) to the clueless drivers i’ve had to watch out for~~~~~ there is a reason why the car in the next lane stopped at the crosswalk!! i don’t really feel like having your license plate imprinted on my backside. (and i don’t want to grace the er with my presence if i can possibly help it.) to my dysfunctional mom who thought it was o.k. to be nasty and impatient to me because “her hip was bothering her”~~~~~ my hip now has arthritis so bad that i’m limping more than you ever did and i’m having trouble climbing stairs. and guess what? i’m not being nasty to anyone!! (well—maybe on this thread.) to the abusers who blame the victim for their actions~~~~~ every thing that you do is a choice! no one held a loaded gun to your head and told you to do what you did. to the spam-happy advertisers~~~~~ just what part of the allnurses.com terms of service don’t you understand? there is a reason you can’t post ads here. if you think for one moment that i want to wade through pages and pages of ads to read the next post…………. (by the way—i hope your computer explodes.) to the spineless parents i’ve seen~~~~~ the word is “no”. it’s about time your kids learned it and how to deal with hearing it, so grow a pair of brass ones and give society a break already. to any healthcare worker who goes along with bad practices because they’re afraid for their job and don’t want to “rock the boat”~~~~~ peoples lives and health are at stake. either grow a huge backbone and a pair of brass ones to go along with it or surrender your license! (as edmund burke once said, “all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”) to whoever dreamed up the “customer service” model for healthcare and the priority-challenged clueless managers who use it~~~~~ (multiple strings of obscenities including one that would make a sailor faint dead away withheld as per tos.) to any lying, vindictive, toxic boss or coworker~~~~~ i’m really tempted to tape a used poopy depends dirty side down on your car engine. by the time you get 5 miles down the road the scorched funk boiling out of your air vents ought to match your personality perfectly.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

I found this today. Maybe he will finally go to jail. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080915/NEWS07/80915029/1009/NEWS07

What does your avatar mean to you?

I love kitties and I love this picture which unfortunately wasn't available on the internet anymore. I was hoping to get it on a t-shirt. I did save it on a flash drive.

My Dream Job Has Turned Into a Nightmare!

Who knows, maybe you can start a website. Or write a book about being a nurse. My uncle was a state trooper and I have told him to write a book about all those stories he has told. He has some good ones.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

The DNA test back then indicated his guilt. A whole lot of things indicated his guilt, but I think his celebrity status helped get him off. It was like the prosecutions heart wasn't in it or something. I see the Las Vegas jury voted guilty. I don't know what the sentence will be, but this time he has one.

My Dream Job Has Turned Into a Nightmare!

I hope everything works out for you. At least you're getting out before things hit the fan. That job sounds like the last one, except this time you had a better boss.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

I don't think he ever will disappear into anonymity, but he has had people distance themselves from him. I don't know how he can look in the mirror at himself.

Any Johnny Cash fans 'round here?

I like A boy named Sue, One peice at a time, and Ghostriders in the sky.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

I don't know if he can get past the denial and shifting blame to do that. He might be able to do some soul searching if he ever does go to prison.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

You're right about that. I forgot to watch his trial coverage this morning. It sounds like he certainly knew about the gun before they got to the hotel room.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

There was also the fact that the cops saw the glove there before Fuhrman showed up, and the blood drops on the Bronco, a sock and at the scene, all of which did not have that preservative (EDT I think) in it.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

He did have a latex glove on and I noticed that he could take the glove off easily. He faked the difficulty putting it on. There was also the drops of blood. And the inconsistencies on what he was doing at the time.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

I'm following his current trial on TruTV. I missed it last week. I found a lot of things interesting, such as he claimed the stuff was stolen, yet filed no police report. He also said on the tape that they were going to be on T.V. and they needed to try to figure out what story to tell. Why would an innocent person have to do this? I wonder how this trial will turn out.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

I agree, a whole lot of people made mistakes that helped him get away with murder. I noticed he isn't really trying to pay off the civil judgement. He also wrote a book called "If I did it" that I'm going to get and read. I think it's the closest thing to a confession the world will get.

    O.J. Simpson---in trouble again

racism is a sad reality that will take a long time to go away, if ever. i don't think a persons race should matter, because it's what a person is like on the inside that counts. it matters more that someone is a good decent person, than what color they are.
