Yes, I all but begged him to vote for Clinton because that's what Sander's was telling his supporters to do and he declined, as did two other people I know online over at Facebook.

They all bought into the anti-Clinton rhetoric and while they don't shout "lock her up", they literally loathed her.   I never understood that, and never understood why they didn't follow Sander's own advice.

He might be easier to convince to vote for Biden now that we've experienced Trump, and Biden doesn't have all that baggage, but as of now Biden is out of the question.

I am curious, if these people like and respect Bernie so much, why didn't they need his advice and vote for Clinton?

Something is amiss here.

I literally don't care who the Democ nominee is. Don't care at all.

They will have my full support.

Your friend must have been okay with Trump, on some level, because they helped him to win.

They felt that would have violated their principals to vote for someone that's not aligned with their belief system.  He said it that when you vote for the "lesser of two evils, you're still voting for evil".  It is a mindset that I struggle to understand when a candidate like Trump is in the running.   Like I said, I Charles Manson came back from the grave I'd vote for him before Trump.

I voted for Bernie in the primary because I felt it would nudge her move to the left, and she did move in that direction.

But I really don't agree that Bernie's principles/values, and Hillary's were that far apart.

Yeah, I'd vote for Mason over Trump. The former was more honest.

I would vote for Bozo the Clown, over Trump.

A professional clown, would do a better job than the amateur clown now in the WH.

Clearly some of the Bernie Bros believed the anti-Clinton propaganda. They also can get very belligerent about being confronted with the lies that they have believed.

I don't know any Bernie or Bust folks.

The people I hang out with, support particular Democrats, but are UNITED in the effort to kick the amateur clown out of the WH.

A good move for democracy, and more bad news for Republicans.

From today's Washington Post:

Texas Agrees To Stop Effort To Purge Voter Rolls

We have witnessed all kinds of efforts by Republicans to surpress voter turnout among people they don't deem their voters, but looks like it will stop in TX.

This comes on the heels of the Michigan gerrymandering case, that also didn't turn out well for Republicans

Sanders had a Town Hall on Fox (CNN has been doing this as well) and came out looking good.   This is where his age and experience matters.  He knows what he stands for and has a record to prove he's given it more than just talk.

There's also a link to a poll that states Democrats are more concerned about picking a candidate that can win than ideology.

My friend that didn't vote for Clinton states:     Please don't give us Trump for another four years by trying to ram your corporate candidate down our throats by rigging the primary again.  There's already a "Bernie or Bust 2020" group.   He put up a meme that says the Democrats better pick a candidate worthy of their vote or Trump wins again and that it's Democrats choice.  Sounds like a highjack of the party to me.

I appreciate the honesty. If their conscience allows them to support Trump, so be it.

I really don't understand your Bernie, friend, but believe he is an outlier.

I guess I would tell your friend that not understanding, or accepting the goal, as removing Trump from the WH, in effect, makes your friend a Trump supporter.

If your friend is serious about removing Trump, they would support whomever can get the job done, then support all efforts towards a more equitable future.

Bernie or Bust, is really supporting DJT.

If Bernie is the Democratic nominee, I will support him heart and soul.

But I am still weighing my options, with laser like focus on getting rid of Trump, and all remnants of Trumpism.
