The Daily Wire, the conservative website, had no less than five stories on Biden on their FB page recently.  While liberals are holding him accountable and printing the story, the conservatives and Trump are having a field day with it.

I left Fox on last night, in a lounge area at work.

As I used the lounge as a cut through, I caught bits and parts of Fox nighttime shows.

Sickening.

The talking heads are hitting the Biden story hard, along with Socialism theme.

Of course, I don't know these talking heads, but I was embarrassed for them.

Do they seriously believe the rubbish that comes out of their mouths.

Do they have no pride?

The whole thing made me want to blast Madonna's "Respect Yourself," on the Fox set.

Self esteem, and self-respect appears to be lacking among the rabid right.

It’s not ALL liberals fault.  There are problems to be solved, for sure that we all need to be accountable for and to solve.

However, day in and day out liberals do everything they can do convince people that everyone and everything is out get get them...white guys, banks, insurance companies, oil companies, strait people, the police, ICE, pro-lifers, anyone with a conservative view, etc. etc. Democrat politicians perpetuate the idea that something other then yourself is to blame for all of your problems, and they are there to rescue you.

No wonder so many people are unhappy.

Again, Steve King, of Iowa disagrees with you.

The Republican very much believes that Whites are victims.

White Nationalists chanting: Jews will not replace us, see themselves as victims.

A White man, shooting up a synagogue in Pittsburgh, saw himself as a victim.

I would say White men, on the rabid right side, very much enjoy playing the role of victim.

What I said has nothing to do with Steve King or white nationalists.

Trolling really is pathetic.

This is painful to watch.  Thank goodness AOC couldn’t keep up her fake accent for the whole speech.

I don't get it.  At first she was friendly, then acknowledged she was nervous, then got into serious mode and her tone changed.

Other's obviously are seeing something different through cattier eyes and ears than mine.

Me, I'm going to stick to the messages and not so catty and personal over a "fake accent".  I've not done this to Trump and I'll call it out when I see it, but it's only how I personally see it and I see it as being catty.

It makes some people feel better to make fun of how someone talks, their orange skin, their hairpiece, and other catty things.  I stay out of that.

I would think that with her policies you would find plenty to post about that you don't agree with, yet you post this?

Meh...

No.  It was a smart campaign strategy and slogan that played off of the eight years of Obama’s complaints of and his apologies for America.

It was a campaign strategy which played off of eight years of complaints and right wing spin about Obama but had little to do with Obama’s actual words, sentiments, or actions. It was smart in that the campaign of attack and lies realized early on that roughly 30% of the voting population were not really interested in facts or evidence. People who are making their feelings about a subject as weighty as the facts too often get personal and rude.

NEB encountered that just recently serving as a juror on a murder trial. The evidence just wasn't as important as the emotion and several of the 12 were not very nice in their inability to even hear or listen to a different viewpoint (roughly 30%). It was instructive.

She (Don Lemon and others too) defended her use of an accent.  So, it was there with whatever ears one might be using.

So, your not so impressed with my subject matter of the post yet write a five paragraph response?🤔

Instead of ignoring a post and moving on, I guess it makes some people feel better to make an effort to tell everyone how they are above whatever others might have posted.

Meh...

I felt good hearing her express pride in regular working Americans. Here is what the said:

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez: "I'm proud to be a bartender. Ain't nothing wrong that. There's nothing wrong with working retail folding clothes for other people to buy. There is nothing wrong with preparing that your neighbors will eat. There is nothing wrong with driving the buses that take your family to work. There is nothing wrong with being a working person in the United States of America. And there is everything dignified about it.”

I heard Sean Hannity on the gym TV going on and on about her “accent”. It caused me to think about going out to dinner after a CE class in Texas a few years ago. It was a BBQ cafeteria style restaurant. A Jewish nurse, who keeps Kosher and a Muslin nurse were with us. Both were shy about asking questions about the food so I offered to do so. I asked the pleasant server, “Can you tell me which vegetables have beef and which have pork?” She told me.

When I reported back a Texas native teased, “You people from Oklahoma think macaroni and cheese is a vegetable.” Most laughed. I realized that being in Texas I had reverted to the Okie accent although I hadn’t lived in Oklahoma for decades.

I wasn’t even aware I was talking like that.

My question is, “Why comment on the accent instead of her answer to the President of the United States?”

IMV the answer to your question is multifaceted but the largest face of the attacks is one born in bigotry/misogyny and politics of personality rather than policy.  Trump's political style is deeply rooted in personal attacks, childish name calling, and outright lies.

Is AOC running for president?

Is that what Fox is preaching these days?

This is the presidential 2020 thread.

Is this more painful to watch than Trump using a fake southern accent to mock Jeff Sessions?

You were silent about that use of a fake accent.

Why?

Did Trump's doing better to your ears?

What is painful to watch, is the mental unraveling of a human being.

We have all been witness too Trump's mental decline over the last two years.

His performance last night, marked more decay.

Mocking asylum seekers is deeply disturbing.

I am surprised Trumpsters aren't concerned for the old man.

Since you post and then criticize me for responding to your post, then let me say If you haven't learned anything about me, let me repeat what I've often said about myself.  I never put anyone on ignore (although moderators and other have over the years suggested I do just that, it's not my style) and I always add my two cents about things and rarely if ever don't respond to a post that bothers me.   I even conversed many days with a poster that was posting dreadful homophobic religious posts until he/she  eventually got banned.

I do wish I had that skill of "ignoring a post and moving on" but that's not me, and not really the purpose of a discussion board in my opinion.

But thanks as always for your input.
