I also believe there are many Trump haters who are ok with it spreading, the accompanying hysteria, and it's effect in the economy.

That's really just BS rhetoric in my opinion.  You might find some nut job happy about it, but I'm seeing many people such as President Obama and all my liberal friends calling for calm for listening to science.  We know that the virus doesn't discriminate.  The memes of "wash your hands" are all over liberal social media.

I will say that as it continues to spread the media will continue to report it.  For example CNN's main headline is "Coronavirus cases rise to 550 in the US".   Conservatives are going to whine that it's the liberal press spreading hysteria.  When really they are just reporting the truth and surely they aren't enjoying it.

Anti-Trump people are really looking to him for leadership and it seems are somewhat justified in their criticism of him.

But anyway, I call BS on what you just said above, but as always respect your right to have your thoughts and to express them.

Is the mere parroting of Trumpster propaganda truly a "thought?"

It is abundantly clear that Trump is an empty vessel concerning coronavirus.

In other words, running on an empty tank, which is why he continues to blame Democrats and the media for a virus.

I expect Trumpster propaganda to continue, in an effort to save their leader from his own stupidity.

I often think it's wrong, and am often scratching my head, and as you know sometimes downright dejected with what people believe, just as the one I posted that thinks the Democrats made up coronavirus, but I do have to allow them their rights.  But I reserve the right to strike back at their "thoughts".

The stock market is crashing and I don't see any liberal press going "yay!! Corona virus!  I'm so happy the economy is crashing and my mutual funds are dropping because it looks bad on Trump".  Sounds crazy doesn't it?

Sanders, whom I've decided to vote for continues to alienate himself from Democrats and I don't think this is a good idea.

Quote

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said Sunday he wasn't surprised that the "power of the [Democratic] establishment" forced Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg — both of whom he said worked very hard on their campaigns — out of the Democratic presidential race in an attempt to elevate former Vice President Joe Biden and keep Sanders from the nomination.

Yes.

Of course it is crazy.

It is propaganda.

Because nobody in their right mind wants the societal disruption that will come with properly shutting down this virus.

Italy is looking at a quarantine of 16 million people.

Nobody with a brain in their head would "wish" the virus to spread or "be okay" with it spreading.

It is in surrounding me. I am sandwiched between two counties with cases.

My 86-year-old mother in RI, with CVD and COPD will die, if she contracts it.

And yet, the Trumpsters continue with mindless propaganda.

I'm so happy we have such a genius as President.  I can't even.....

Trump said doctors he's come across as the administration tries to get a handle on the outbreak have been surprised about how much he knows about COVID-19. "Maybe I have a natural ability," he said. "Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president."

It's most likely that no doctor said that to him...

Trump can't talk about our public health crisis without politicizing it and dividing the country ideologically.  He might consider wearing a hat that says USA in an attempt to at least appear to be a president for all of the people.

Yep.

Fate hands Trump an opportunity to redeem himself and act presidential.

Instead, he seizes the chance to continue to behave like a moron.

And his followers fall right in line!

Trump leadership on ebebola

I thought maybe we should review the twitter musings ofa fellow who considers himself genius when it comes to epidemiology.

Quote

If this doctor, who so recklessly flew into New York from West Africa, has Ebola, then Obama should apologize to the American people & resign!

Now that people have died during Trump's pandemic, it seems resignation would be the Trumpian way...right after he apologizes.

Right?

Poor Donnie.

Here he is, naturally gifted, at what I don't know, and yet his poll numbers remain in the toilet.

From today's WaPo:

A New Poll Shows That Trump Doesn't Actually Have Magical Chaos Powers

It is an opinion piece that contains numbers from the latest Quinnipiac poll.

The numbers are bleak.

Here we go:

Of registered voters, 49% disapprove of how Trump is handling coronavirus crisis.

Only 37% of Independent registered voters approve of his handling.

Yikes!!!!!

And it gets WORSE for Trump.

Some 56% of registered voters say Joe Biden would do a better job of handling the crisis.

This article is from November but it's highlighting something that I'm hearing more and more lately.  Now in addition to, or instead of instilling fear of socialism, people are spreading fears of communism, particularly when it concerns Sanders.

People aren't understanding that social welfare programs such as universal heatlhcare doesn't equate to communism or even socialism.
