Well, they clearly don't represent 'society," so I don't see how there could be confusion.

I like The Mad Red Hatters.

It has a good flow.

Rolls off the tongue!

So be it ... we come to my ignore list.

Oh.

I didn't realize I was required to choose one from your list.

How about Right Wing Roger and Right Wing Roberta?

Or the Right Wing Robbies?

They name themselves...

First they were angry Tea Party members...so they were aptly noted as Tea Pots, short and stout.  When they get all steamed up hear them shout. Pompeo, for example.

Now they are the proud MAGA members. Magats if you will (MAGA + red hat).

It's Trump's world.

Clearly I’m being too obscure. My reference is to the Red Hat Society, a loose association of, initially, old women which later opened itself to women of all ages.

Inspired by a poem by Jenny Joseph written in 1961: “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.” It goes on to celebrate the idea that the joy of old age is to finally shed the constraints of “adulting” and do precisely whatever we want and social norms be jiggered.

As an old red hat lady, I object to the name being co-opted as a term of contempt.

Another spot-on column by True Conservative Jennifer Rubin in today's WaPo:

Voters Aren't Buying Snake Oil Trump Is Selling

Trump may not be infected with CVirus, but it seems the virus has come for him, nonetheless.

So Trump is threatening retaliation against Arizona and Michigan, as both states move forward to allow mail-in voting due to pandemic.

That action, is of course, the very definition of Tyranny.

What a shame Trumpsters aren't able to understand that.

Truly, a shame.

Yes that made the papers here.  The governor seriously wants numbers to reflect his goals rather than reality.

I really liked her dashboard that she created.  I could look up what was happening around me.  Part of why I supported the reopening here is that according to her dashboard there were only 38 Covid cases in my zip code since she started data collection and it's a relatively densely populated zip code.  It was an impressive site.

It seems this may be more fake news.

"I don't know who she is but they gave me an email that she sent to her supervisor, said that, 'Uh-oh, I may have said something that was misrepresented,'" DeSantis said, adding Jones went on to write that: "I said they've got a team working on it now and what I meant when I said don't expect the same level of accessibility is that they are busy and can't answer every single email they get right away and that it was ridiculous that I managed to do it in the first place and that I was tired and needed a break from working two months straight."

Shrugs, on my part.

Frankly, the world and this country are too much in shambles for me to get worked up over such nonsense.

Nobody could possibly mistake the two groups.

Nobody.

There are far too many other things going on, that truly deserve your ire.

But, you are entitled to your opinion.

"More than 600 doctors signed onto a letter sent to President Trump Tuesday pushing him to end the "national shutdown" aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus, calling the widespread state orders keeping businesses closed and kids home from school a "mass casualty incident" with "exponentially growing health consequences."

This is what our local paper says.  I'm sure there's more to the story than meets the eye, but clearly he's trying to deflect by questioning her credibility.  But the emails remain.

The public here really seems unconcerned about this particular woman but it seems to me from just a casual observation people aren't trusting the numbers especially since they can't be verified.

The "her statements were misrepresented" explanation only existed for part of the day on Monday, by Tuesday his office had admitted that she was indeed fired.
