Morning

Quieter day for me yesterday.  Choir met early to practice a bit, then church.  Skipped the potluck and went out to lunch with J, we tried a new place.  Came home, rode my bike and worked on cross stitch

Hoping this week will be calmer at work than last week

Weather has been cooler although I think it will warm up as the week proceeds.  Possibility of rain for my trip to Madison, but the forecast could change a lot in the next 2 weeks

Good Morning!

Joe, hope you have a nice calm week.

Herring, I would agree that "I Will Always Love You" is one of the most brilliantly written love songs of a ll time.

J22, we have a lot of thunderstorms here in the Summer during our rainy seasons and I don't mind them.  Although this area has more lightening strike deaths than anywhere in the country, so I do respect them.  Good of you to make a home visit on a Sunday and nice they pay extra like that.

Work yesterday was steady busy but got it all done.  Now off for a few days.  It's "clean the bathrooms Monday" how exciting.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning Tweety, Joe, and those who follow.

Husband was reading while I watched the Grand Ole Opry concert. Really looking forward to next weeks documentary.

This morning husband didn't want eggs and fruit. He crumbled a corn muffin in a bown, covered it with buttermilk, and enjoyed it. His sisters like it too. They had it for breakfast as kids. They say it's better than corn flakes.

I go through spells of wanting some buttermilk. If I'm not ready for when the tang hits the taste-buds, it gives me the shudders; otherwise I like it. I'm the same if I drink any wine...the first sip makes me pucker and shiver. after that, it's okay. Both are an acquired taste!

My sister-in-law, my niece, and her 2 y.o came over to bring Nannie some presents and food (Her 90th b'day's Saturday) We have turkey tettrazini, boiled cabbage, a pineapple-cream pie, and a pan of brownies. They got her a nice light-weight 'travel' sweater...(doesn't wrinkle)...navy blue, my favorite color; It's a long, very well-cut buttonless sweater. She also got a pair of pants that match, and a red blouse with a busy, bright pattern, neither of which interested me. But, get this!--- that sweater'll be mine, Nannie actually JOKED----"when I lose a little more of my memory, and forgets it is mine!". Yikes! I couldn't believe she made 'a funny' about her dementia; so she still had a bit of self-awareness in there.

Anyway, Nannie was thrilled to have the company and a biggish to-do made over her. Saturday one of Nannie's BFF's and her husband are coming over with birthday cards collected from her church congregation. We'll have small cake and a dozen roses. I got her a packaged 'collection' of lipsticks....as my own mom used to say, "Just to have something to open"...

 Yo, Joe, Tweety and herring!

Wonder where everybody else iz?

Hi, busy day at work, after a yet another poor nights’ sleep. I finally emailed the cardiac ARNP to c/o about the pain around my pacemaker. I doubt they will do anything except to tell me it takes time.

Weather here is sunny, rainy, sunny. We may get more thunder and lightning tonight.

Its nice that Nannie can still have nice days.
