Tweety I had a pretty slow day yesterday too

Thanks NJ22

Thanks Amo.  That's cool, finding family you didn't know about

Thanks Stars

Was a quiet day yesterday.  Did laundry and went to church.  Went out to lunch with J.  Went for a walk and started a crock pot recipe

Back to work today, glad it's only a 3 day week

After work should be fairly quiet, just exercise and Bible study

Weather I think will be cooler, 30s or 40s, think rain should  hold off

Good morning!

Joe, sounds like a nice calm day.  Enjoy the short work week.

Amo, that's cool about finding out about cousins.  My dad's aunt's children and grandchild live here.  I met the grandchild once but we lost touch.  She's close to my age.  I have five first cousins from my uncle and aunt that I never see.  A couple of the cousins are rednecks in Alabama and we zero in common.

Stars, I miss those big bookstores.  There was a huge bookstore here that I liked going to until I found out they were too religious and didn't carry LBGT content.  I used to love browsing and hanging out in the Borders and Barnes and Nobles of years gone by.  Sadly, I get my books from Amazon.  Maybe when I retire I'll use the library.

I had a nice day yesterday.  I went to an arts and craft festival downtown and splurged and bought a very expensive vase from a local artist.   Then I went to another festival at the beach.  This one was a sand sculpture contest and there were about 10 sculptures that were amazing.  They also had a lot of booths selling stuff and food but I didn't buy anything.  Here the crowd was huge.  Good to see people getting out and enjoying festivals again.  Counting the veg feast that's three outdoor events I made it to this past weekend.

Nothing much going on today.  I have the recipes for my Thanksgiving entrees but haven't picked out side dishes yet.  Going to try to do that and make a grocery list on my phone.

Hope everyone has a good day.

It's not been literally freezing, but it sure FEELS that way... raw and breezy. Didn't go look for shoes today, but I shoulda.

As always, did a dash to the grocery store for this and that, and for more of Nannie's 'Personal Feminine Hygiene #6 Long' pads 🙄. The fun never stops!

Hubby's been going by next door to visit/play/love on that tea-cup puppy. He told the neighbor's mom that if she ever decided she didn't want the puppy any more, he would be happy to take her. Uh-Oh!

It's been a dull day and evening. And I have no new books to start! Will have to go shop for shoes and a book tomorrow, lest I freeze and die of boredom.

Ta!

I called off again today, still feeling effects of the cold but it IS much better.  I called Employee Health and reported that the illness felt like a routine cold for me, but I felt I should be tested to have my gut feeling agree with the lab results.  They agreed, and the NP, after doing a phone exam (questions), ordered a rapid Covid swab.  I then drove to work, to the ER tent, and got swabbed.  It was negative!  Yay!  So, I will be setting the alarm to go back to work tomorrow.

Am keeping up with ya'll (or trying to!).  Have a good evening!
