Good morning!

Ted, sounds like things are going well with the puppy.  I'm sure she's eating up the attention and love and feels safe.

Stars, is there a store nearby you can go to have someone help you live and in person set it up?  I'm with T-mobile and since they bought Sprint there are a lot of stores around.  When I get a new phone I get it live and in person and let the geeks kids there do it.  It's not really that hard and you can't blame the phone for you not knowing your password.  🤣

Stars, it's a tough time for restaurants, especially start ups during these times.  Good to see they are making a comeback.

BC, hope you enjoyed the beach.

I had a nice day off.  Best friend was having a good day with his knee issues and we visited a nice park with trails by a lake near me.  It's also a "birds of prey" sanctuary and had a few eagles and hawks for viewing.  I felt bad that they weren't out flying free but they had some issues.  One apparently was hit by a car.  It was 88 degrees but not as humid as it can get during the long summer.

Nothing much going on today but the routine gym, cook, shop, clean routine.  Fell asleep reading and got up early.

Have a great day!

Tweety that does sound like a good day

Ted glad to hear things are going well with the puppy so far, that does sound like a lot of work

Stars hope you can get the phone thing straightend out, agree that returning might be the best option if it can't be resolved

NJ22 I imagine restaurants have gotten really busy with people returning

Yesterday was nice.  Church was good, bell choir did OK though not as good as we did during practice.  Only a few of us in online coffee hour, though we may soon be going back to in person coffee hour. Protest was fine, things have calmed down since the election.  One of the speakers was  great grandaughter of a civil rights activist.  Exercised and worked on embroidery the rest of the day

Slept better last night.  Some of the church people had sleep issues lately, might be weather related

Hoping this work week isn't too bad.  Glad the end of the month is here, things will get better once it's over

Will be quite hot here, up to 90, though later in the week will be in the 60s and 70s

We spent two hours today on hubby's phone talking w/ tech at the other company to complete setting up the stoopit/smaht phone so we can then call to cancel and return it. Then I have to get back to my prior phone services to re-establish it. What a bunch of crap! Nothing is made easy.

Grumblingly, NSIME

Cool and misty rainy here. A good day for a run, except my training program called for hill repeats: running up a hill for 20 secs with 'strong effort" and then back down the hill. For six intervals. Makes me think of gym class and wind sprints. Ugh. Felt so good to stop. I weighed my self and I've gained some, so I am going to get more serious about tracking food. I've been eating way too many cookies! but aren't cookies just about the perfect food?

Stars, i am sorry that you've had so much grief about the phone. Probably best to let it go. My sis swears by her little Tracfone that she got at Walmart.

We have a fair amount of birds of prey that live around here: bald eagles, coopers, sharp shin and red tail hawks, and owls. There is a bird sanctuary that brings birds to the local fair that is pretty cool. The ones they keep are those that can't be rehabilitated.

Good for you Joe for going to the protest. I went to a few before COVID, and they are pretty uplifting.

Today has been housework/laundry day. I got a message from my PCP office about needing a med review appointment. Luckily this can be a tele-call, and boom its booked. I can think of some other offices that could learn a trick or 2!

Ted, your puppy is adorable! Sounds like she is going to train quickly. I've heard poodles are quite intelligent, and terriers are smart but stubborn. It's good that you and Amy can spend so much time with her initially.

Hullo to all!

Join me now in singing loudly, The Hallelujah Chorus.

Now I have to continue to unwind and bring my shoulders down from around my ears....

Hubby took my flip-phone over to the store of the company we have his cell phone with. With little problem, the man whom hubby deals with exclusively, got me switched back to his company, and my cell phone number is the same, and all my contacts are intact!!! He also got me a phone # to call the other cell company to request a return mailing label from them, so I can mail the smaht phone back to them, without going through a million transfers to get to the right person I need to speak with.

Such a relief!  🤪

🤔 Hope to return to my senses soon! 😋

Send your hubs service rep a 'Thank You' card.

I am soooo understanding of your angst. My cell phone is fairly new, but it's like a flip phone. It has options, but all I  wanted was a device to make phone calls in and out. I was PETRIFIED to travel anywhere without communication. Esp with all the Medi-Trans I do. I really don't need anything more.

Ted - your puppy sounds so adorable. Hoping good times ahead.

j22 - civilization city girl here. But once I think we had some sort of bird of prey in a big pine tree in our yard. That early morning, heard such a racket of bird noises. Then all of a sudden, a bird with the BIGGEST wing span I ever saw flew out of the tree. It could have been an owl for all I knew.

Need a new face mask for my sleep apnea Trilogy machine. I love my machine, but I'm having air leaks from the mask and I've been waking up with headaches recently. Been waking up a lot also - actually the air leak noise can be startling and annoying. Need my sister to help change the equip - I don't try too much all by myself. Like I need somebody on 'standby' for when I need to test my fall monitor. For years, no problem, then all of a sudden, it goes kaflooey!

Joe - I really empathize re your sleeping woes. I stopped my melatonin - it was such a low dose. I want to fix my apnea mask first before resuming it.

Amo, are you implying I live in the sticks? Well, it is pretty rural. I often see great blue herons, and I they’re wing span is similar to a bald eagle. And they make a terrible squawk.
