Good Morning to you all,

Lovely weekend full of relaxation, work, hiking and repeat. LOL

Great hikes out in glorious weather, nice hard slog on Saturday and a more mild hike on Sunday. Dogs were very happy and exhausted after each hike. Banjo had a huge swim yesterday chasing sticks. He would swim until he could not go anymore, crazy boy.

I put Michael's photos up on the road trains they use in the Australian outback, take some time to check them out under his truck thread.

Looking like a busy but productive day for me with 6 patient on my schedule so I best get out the door in a timely manner.

Well I best get myself organized here so I will wish you all a most excellent day, no matter what you get up to.

Much love to you all this day.

Well, Good Morning!

Half an hour ago I leapt out of bed saying, "I'm going to be late!!!" Then I realized it was Monday and I don't have to be at work until this afternoon! I was about to head back to bed, but my hips and knees said they didn't WANT to lie down again. The brain piped up, 'Me, neither!' So here I am.

It's a mild, beautiful foggy morning. The dogs are out back doing their fence-line inspection, and I am enjoying a cup of coffee.

Hope y'all have a less abrupt waking this morning than I had!

Enjoy the day!

Good Morning -

Glad to read that you had a wonderful week-end, Sabby_NC. Also, thanks for helping out Michael in posting his truck-train pictures. They're pretty cool.

No Stars In My Eyes - That whole sleep/work thing can be confusing sometimes! LOL! Even though it might be my night off from work, I often take naps in the mid-afternoon to maintain a similar sleep-schedule that I take when I do work. Every so often I wake up from the afternoon nap and get ready for work only to remember that I'm off for that night! Oops! LOL!

It's another beautiful day outside today. The sun is out. The temperature is relatively cool. It makes for good mowing weather. No. I didn't mow yesterday as planned. I came home from church after an intensive choir rehearsal, saw Amy resting outside on our front porch lounge chair and decided to join here. It was a sloth-day afternoon. Sipped on some coffee, read the newspaper, and napped, all while resting outside on the lounge chair during a beautiful afternoon. So much for mowing! LOL! Afterward, we decided to take in an early evening movie. Saw Seth MacFarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in the West". It was funny as hell! But one definitely has to be a Seth MacFarlane fan to enjoy his rather crude humor. He does "take it out there" in this movie! Wow! LOL!

Hope to be less of a sloth today and get some mowing and yard work done. I'm off from work tonight (and for the next few nights!). Amy is off from work, today, too. No matter what we'll do, we plan on enjoying the day together.

Peace, folks! :)

Ted

Morning Sabby and Stars

Ugh last night woke up after an hour or two from a nightmare that I can't now remember, feeling quite anxious. Had difficulty sleeping the rest of the night. Still feeling the anxiety this morning, even though there's really no reason for it. Odd.

Anyway, yesterday was a productive day, got to my dad's church early to help with the set up (and later the take-down) for the pet blessing. Very nice weather, minister had a really good sermon. But the turnout was pretty small, couldn't have been more than 20 pet owners in addition to the regular church members. Usually they have double or triple that. A lot of churches are having pet blessings now, so there's more competition. Next year they might change the date of the event, or possibly cancel it entirely, which would be sad.

Got the cooking done last night. Had to use the A/C as it was pretty warm.

Will be a short week for me. Taking Friday off to celebrate 2 years with the company. Looks like the weather will be nice, cooler on Friday and the weekend.

Morning all - just sent Spidey out the door to walk up to the school and catch the bus for the water park. I covered him in sunscreen and made sure he had put the tube in his backpack. "Re-apply every 2 hours" I said . . . last year he forgot and came home with quite a sunburn.

Stupidly, I watch a video a AN friend put up on her FB . . . 7 minutes long about how inattention causes car accidents and it was quite graphic. There was a bus accident as part of the video and there was a school bus vs. UPS big rig accident locally a couple of months ago here in the north state. I told Spidey "It is ok if you tell a teacher that you think the bus driver is going too fast or driving erratically".

I'm not usually so much of a worrywart but that video was scary as hell.

I agree Ted - you have to like Seth McFarland and his crude humor - my husband saw the trailer for the movie and thought it might be funny but I know my husband. There's a certain kind of crude humor he likes (Ron White) but I know he wouldn't like Seth.

I did some heavy lifting and hoeing yesterday and was sore last night. Still sore this morning. But it doesn't look like I'm getting the virus my son had over the weekend . . so far.

On call with hospice at 09. Two patients to see.

It is lovely and sunny here . .supposed to get up into the triple digits down the mountain so that means we'll be hot as well.

That's ok - I'd rather the weather be hot than cold.

Have a great day!

Good morning!

It's gorgeous day here...too bad I'm working. I plan on getting out for a walk at lunch. I worked all weekend in Urgent Care. We saw a ton of patients with strep. At least there's no more flu. I went to an improv comedy show on Sat night with my SO (it's so much fun to say that now!) and then walked around the North End of Boston afterwards. The North End is similar to Little Italy in New York. Everything smelled so good!

Sabby-thanks for posting Michael's photos. I don't think I'd want to see one of those road trains coming at me on a road. Hi No Stars-it's good to see you here. Ted-I'm glad you had a relaxing day yesterday. The grass can wait. Hi Joe-enjoy your short week. Any special plans for your day off? Steph-I'm with you on preferring hot weather. I could do without winter altogether.

It's almost lunch time (my 2nd favorite time of the day!) Hope all are well. Have a great day!

I started a thread about something I came across this evening . . . just an FYI.

https://allnurses-breakroom.com/ethics-philosophy-religion/search-psychologys-lost-928317.html#post7950572

Kind of a lazy sort of day although I did work and saw my two patients. My friend is doing ok but deteriorating quickly.

I'm at the office after taking a 1 mile walk at the track - the thunderheads had dissipated into dark sky with sunshine peeking through.

Heading home shortly. Hope you all have a good day.
