Good morning!

BC, so glad to hear that you're on the mend.  Hope you continue to get to 100% well.

Ted, hope you're surviving your back to back 12's yesterday which included church and little sleep.

Work was okay.  I was assigned a busy patient that had some medical issues that were somewhat time consuming.  But she's holding her own.  90 years old without an advocate other than some lawyer that will do everything, and a  out-of-state daughter that has nothing to do with her and is not her POA but has a court order to proceed with competency evaluations.  The nursing home she lives says there is no daughter to be found.  Odd situation.  I just bumped it up my chain of command.

Working today.  Didn't see and OR schedule to see how many are coming in today.  Day 3 of 3 12's in a row. Not complaining as I'm rested and having good days.  Looking forward to knocking this day out.  I'm going to miss bowling tonight.  Our team is in first place as we were the only team to win all games the first week.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Tweety

Fairly quiet day yesterday

Choir and church. Thankfully not much snow so getting around wasn't bad

J was running late so we pushed brunch back an hour.  He was still a bit late, though we had a nice lunch.  Ended up eating so late that I went off my diet.  Oh well, will have to try harder

Rest of the day was quiet, exercised and relaxed.

Will see what changes this work week brings

Fairly cold, in the 30s, but will be in the 40s with rain later in the week

H'lo Tweety, Joe, and herring! And the same to all who follow.

I want to say 'good morning', but it is just after 2 PM. Nannie went to bed early, hubby went to bed around midnight, and I turned out my light at 2:45 AM. But we all slept until noon!

Way to go, Tweety, your bowling team is NUMBER ONE!!! Well, at least for now! 😋

Joe, Glad to hear the snow didn't swallow up your locale, as it has in other places.

herring, enjoy your 'easy' day!

It is raining and will be the same for the next 3-4 days. Nannie is beside herself that it is raining 'so much', but I read her the storm reports online from places all around us (flooding, snow-snow-and more snow, trees down, and power outages), and said she should be happy WE didn't get all those problems here. She is being her usual perpetually discontented self. Also she is now reading me MY newspaper, which I have already read! Maybe I should let her read it FIRST and then read it myself, I dunno.

By the way...odd thing this AM ... when I picked up the plastic bag the paper was in, there were 4 big fat worms underneath it, hiding from the rain! Don't know if any birds got them before they found other cover; they would've made a gourmet breakfast (or lunch) for some lucky bird.

Not sure what's on the itinerary for this week other than hubby goes for a haircut tomorrow, and on Wednesday I have a follow-up appt w/ the PA at Neuro/Spine; I think it is for the shoulder shot I got for bursitis. Wednesday is also the day hubby's SS check goes into the checking account, so prolly grocery shopping will be going on, and some bill-paying. w00t!

Nannie called hubby "Richard" this morning, and there were/are NO Richards' in either family for at least 4 generations back, that we know of. She also was talking about "the man who came to the door this morning" and handed her the wet newspaper. It was slightly damp from where the water dripped on it as I pulled it out of the plastic bag. I handed it to her in the den, and I ain't no male delivery guy!

She has a whole cast of people coming and going through this house, you wouldn't believe it!  Her mother and daddy, various aunts, that 'little boy' who is 'always here', people from the church... She has some vivid hallucinations, I guess! She also gives us narratives from multiple phone conversations she has recently had, when, in fact, the last time she was on a phone was when hubby called her sister-in-law about 3 weeks ago and let them chat ... talk about your repetitious and confused conversations!!! And last night she wanted me to call her husband to find out when he is coming home. Hubby told her he has been gone for 11 years, and she said she KNEW he was here earlier in the day. Hubby just said "OK."

Anyway, I hope this day remains "Q". As the old song goes: " 'C'est la vie' say the old folks, which goes to show you never can tell."

Tawk whichoos laydah!

Hello! Awoke to a couple of inches of snow, and icy wind, making the wind chill about 5 degrees. That is quite a bit colder than was predicted. The hummingbird feeders were frozen solid ( forgot to bring them inside), so I thawed 1 out, make new food and then attached the heater to heat when I rehung it.  Yes, Anna's hummingbird does spend the winter here:

Been dealing with a weird issue with the power company. I have been trying to draw up a budget and realized that we hadn't received a bill in a few months(actually, since July, oops). I tried to sign up online, but was informed I wasn't "authorized" to have access. So I had dh call today, because his name is on the bill. It seems our account was closed in October, and someone else has been billed and is paying!? The power company are guessing that a new construction signed up for service and gave the wrong street address. I remember getting some sort of rebate check, thinking it was due to a rate change, but maybe it was from closing the account. I need to dig it out when I get home, and follow up tomorrow. Ugh, that bill is gonna sting.

I was going to make a home visit today, but when I went to grab the meds, I see that the crazy one used up the last of them a week ago and didn't reorder. Good grief. Patient was okay that I will come tomorrow. And I'm okay not driving the health department Prius on a slippery road in the wind. .

I am getting my gym orientation and fitness eval tonight. I can sum it up already: old, grumpy and overweight. Hopefully it won't take the full hour.

Good Afternoon -

Just wanna say a warm but quick, "Hello". . .

Tonight is the 4th night in a row. I wouldn't mind so much except that I had less sleep, yesterday, due to church. (For that matter, I didn't really sleep well today, either.) Work started out really busy at the beginning of the shift, yesterday. We had one of those change of shift facility to facility transfers (from ICU to ICU). Caring for the patient was the easy part. Getting a confirmed bed at the other facility and ensuring all of the freakin' "I's" are dotted and "T's" are crossed on the paperwork is enough to drive a sane person crazy! To add to this, I haven't don't one of these facility to facility transfers in YEARS! But the patient was not getting better, and we don't have an ICU Intensivist. So, away goes the patient. Thankfully, the rest of the night was relatively "Q".

Looking forward to tomorrow which beings a small stretch of days off from work.

I gotta go now. Hope all is doing well. . .

Peace. 🙂

Ted

Ted, that reminds me of something Jason Hiney said the other night:

I printed it for my husband's golfing buddies. DH and guy across the street already enjoyed a good laugh.
