Good morning!

Switched with a co-worker at the last minute and will work today and be off Thursday instead.

Had a nice evening with my niece and her family.  We had dinner and I had a nice vegetarian meatball sandwich that was excellent.  We went for ice cream afterwards.  My sister was a no-show claiming she got the time of the meeting incorrect.   Was good to the family.  Niece has a toddler boy and has her hands full.  He's cute though.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Tweet

Quiet day for me yesterday.  Church then worked on cross stich a bit then went to lunch with J.  A rather late lunch, as he had to push back the time due to running late then ended up arriving late anyway.  Oh well.  Still had time to exercise and so some cooking afterwards

Back to work today, hopefully this week will go smoothly as last week did

Weather has remained pretty good, in the 80s with no rain yet, although some is expected this week

Good morning Tweety and Joe!

I hope today goes well Tweety. Off Thursday seems like a good thing.

Thank you, Joe, for your experience regarding legislators. I need to read the bills this week.

I was young when working on civil rights. To me the issues were common sense and morally right. Still it took a LOT from millions of Americans to get congress and President Johnson to pass civil rights bills.

With safe staffing I had lived it and understood the bill in all it's iterations. I'm not so well versed on the details of these housing bills. Maybe by the weekend I will be.

The "Know-it-All guy" seemed not to have the patience to listen to the formerly homeless CNA describing the difficulties of sleeping in a shelter.

Today I plan to exercise and shower at the gym.

I slept poorly last night due to the heat and humidity, and incisional discomfort. Maybe I overdid yesterday but I am getting very frustrated with the amount of discomfort I still have and swelling. This may be TMI , but I can't tolerate wearing a bra strap over the site but going without is also uncomfortable. I took Angus down to the park by the river and let him run off leash after getting the okay from the other dog owner that was there. So my little tough guy goes charging into the river after a big yellow lab, goes in over his head and then come charging out faster than he went in. After our walk, I dropped him at home and ran a few errands, including a grocery run. I am taking the grandsons to the waterslides tomorrow so I picked up veggies and fruit for snacks.

Yup, toddler boys are pretty cute, but they are go, go, go! Glad you were able to trade, Tweety.

Hope you week is smooth sailing Joe.

The "know-it-all-guy" shows up at a lot of community meetings, doesn't he? Of course, homelessness has a lot of factors. It's so much more that banning parking or tents. I had to listen to my "know-it-all" sister on Saturday explain why people use street drugs, none of it based on any evidence .

I'm going to try for a nap.

Recuperated from doing the grocery shopping yesterday by going to PT this morning. See, it was either the grocery shopping or cleaning the house, and I vetoed the house cleaning.

Anyway, I felt better after the PT session, which ends with heat packs and Tens unit at the lower back. Aaaah!

There is an 82 year old fella there who does knee-marches far better and lifts his knees higher than I can; I told him I was just a beginner. Of course I still hurt in some areas but it's a delight to be able to stand up straight when I walk out to there.

Tomorrow's the appt w/ the PA. I'll be interested to see what they will do about my shoulder bursitis, if that's what it is. It's pains have spread down my upper arm to my elbow, my forearm, hand tendons, to base of thumb and tip of baby-finger; AND as if that weren't enough, my collar bone and scapula, as well. Pfftt!

Eeek,it's time for supper! Nannie is verbal salad on speed: jabber-jabber and very little sense to it. Time to turn the hearing aid waaaay down!

Hope to stop by later on....

nurseJ, do you have a strapless bra you can wear?  So sorry you are still having incisional issues.  😞

Hello to all!  Steady-busy day at work, off on time, home to relax.  Time to rustle up some grub.

Have a good evening!

Tweety, how d'ya like the ceramic top stove? Had a chance to use it much yet? One of my patients had one, I had to make her 3 meals a day and I grew to hate that stove. Heats up slowly, then suddenly HOT, stays too hot even when you turn it down, and takes forever to cool down. Also didn't care for the cleaning of the dern thing. But I know lots of folks who have 'em and love 'em. I would like to have an airfryer, though. Mebbe this next Christmas...

Ted, how awful for Amy to be working for a dingbat who sounds like she may be related to j22's crazy coworker. Sad to be dreading rehearsal, too. Hope things smooth out for her.  Played your latest piece for all here, and Nannie's only remark was, "Where will he sleep tonight?"  Uhhhh, at his own house up north, maybe?

Nannie thinks there are more people staying here than are here. But, heck, now she thinks I'm not just 2 people, but 3 !!! I am hubby's wife, the nurse who comes to help out, and a woman who visits, who looks practically identical to one of the other me's here. 😊 😊 😋 I'm TRIPLETTS!!!

herring, Joe, (and the invisible Wally and Big Boy's Mom) it is wonderful, the work you get involved in. It would frustrate me to tears. I feel like I'd come across, at some point, as Donald Duck/Daffy Duck throwing a squawking, spitting, incomprehensible FIT!   Prolly be escorted from the premises!

j22, amoLu, and others who are, as my Grampa used to say, 'feeling punk", I hope things ease off, you get relief, rest, and healing.

There are a few others I wanted to address, but I am watching Minnesota beat my Atlanta Braves, keeping an eye on the snoring-Nannie monitor, and I can't bring to mind to whom I was going to say what....so this is it for tonight.
