Good Morning to you all,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, we sure as heck did with weather that was simply perfect for hiking and working outside. We hiked two different trails on two different days and just had a blast with the dogs.

Hubby and I spent a lot of time outside working in our yard or sitting and playing with the dogs, one of the most relaxing weekends in a while I have to say.

Feeling tired this morning so wanting to get this day started so I can get back home and into bed. Hahahahahhaa I was in bed before 9PM and obviously feel like I need more.

Hope you all had a nice weekend with this weather which made it perfect in my eyes. Ok I am repeating myself but it was just simply the best. LOL

Praying you all have a most wonderful and productive day.

Much love to you all.

Morning Sabby and Micheal

I'm back from Wisconsin, got back yesterday afternoon. It was a relaxed but fairly boring trip. Made it there in good time, the hotel was nice as well as the weather. Spent a fair amount of time outside, got some sunburn on my head. Even saw a sandhill crane, something I was hoping to see. But it was all kind of dull, so I think this will likely be my last trip to Madison.

But that's fine, the trip served its purpose. Since Madison doesn't change that much I use trips there as a yardstick to see how much I've changed. And I seem to have changed enough that the place doesn't really interest me anymore.

Going to see dad today, bought some Wisconsin beer for him. Not much else going on today. Was going to do some cooking but the gas is currently off, hopefully they'll get it back on soon.

G'Morning, all!

I've been up for about an hour, but my eyes do not want to stay open.

Have a few errands to run, and then take hubby to his first PT appt this afternoon. It will be passive ROM and I hear that the first PT appt is not a pleasant time for post-rotator cuff repair patients. He did not sleep so well last night as he did the night before, but I reckon it will be that way for a while longer. At least he has the option of dozing throughout the day.

Which, come to think of it, so do I!

ZzzzZZzzzzz....

Today I'm going to the doctor with my husband.

Yesterday took SteoMom to the SNF associated with her residence. the doctor told us he wants her there until completing 2 weeks of Holter monitoring to find out why she is passing out and falling.

Whle in the hospital PT had her in the hallway with a walker.

At the very nice SNF two LVNs and 2 CNAs gave her the call bell and reminded her to call for help when getting up. After going to her apartment to get cloths for her I reminded her to call before getting up. She said, "I have the walker so won't need help."

I reminded her that she didn't trip and fall, she passed out and fell. She promised not to fall again.

I can only do so much, so pray she won't fall.

Good weekend.

Friday I did many errands.

Sat dh and I attended youngest ds's induction into one of four honors societies.

He is done with classes, will march in June (Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences).

Proud of him!

Sunday I did some yard work and errands and was pooped after!!

Relaxed till PBS shows came on in the evening.

Enjoying Wolf Hall, series about Thomas Cromwell and Henry VIII.

Joe, if not Madison, where are you considering going on your next vacation?

Sabby, glad your weekend was good, sorry about the pain. Do the injections usually help?

NSIME, hope PT for your dh goes well today.

Recovery is a journey. :)

herring, I HOPE your stepmom uses the call button!!

Good her MD has her on a monitor to look into reasons she is passing out.

Hello to all those who may post later (Spidey's Mom, Leonardsmom, JBudd, etc)!

Hubs' 1st PT this afternoon; the therapist was impressed with his (passive) ROM before pain/discomfort. She noticed his co-pay was $50 per visit and so is holding the appts to 1x/wk. She said we could use our TENS unit, but for some reason he wants to wait until after he sees surgeon at follow up appt.

He got into trouble today for NOT wearing his big sling to the PT; he said he figured why should he if all she was going to remove it anyway? I didn't even notice until we were halfway there! I said that the doctor told him he HAD TO wear it for 6 weeks. PT reinforced the importance of using it ALL the time. By the time we got home he was convinced because he was quite uncomfortable. Gads! I couldn't believe he thought it would be a good idea not to wear it!

Good evening everyone,

Happy to say that overall today has been an uneventful day. Had classes this morning and got the results back from my history exam last week, had one term that I got mixed up but the rest was spot on. Studying for my pharmacology exam tomorrow, and planning on taking another math test on Wednesday. After that math test on Wednesday just have the final to take, which I am planning on doing next week. Will be nice to have one of my classes done before the end of the semester.

Definitely been enjoying the warmer weather, today was warm enough to be comfortable in a hoodie. The rest of the week looks like it should be mild temps, much better than tge single digits that we had in February.

Herring hopefully your stepmom uses her call light, I have had several patients in rehab that think they don't need to use it because they have their walker and they don't want to wait to use the bathroom. If they are insistent on not waiting I tell them to at least put the light on so I know they are getting up and I can check on them. Those are the rooms I tend to park my computer outside of while charting to try to keep an eye on what is going in.

Time to head back from my lunch break. Have a good evening everyone.

Ahhahahahahahaha! Hubby just called out and I THOUGHT he said to bring him the little pink pill and the little blue pill. So I went to the cabinet and got the meds and took a drink into the bedroom, and he said "What have you got?" I said the little pink pill and the little blue pill like you asked for......... He laughed and said "I asked for the little pink PILLOW and the little blue PILLOW!"

His Southern accent, and the Northern ears of a nurse-person, I swear!............funny!
