Isn't that rich.  For every minute anyone talks about Biden and sexual misconduct they should mirror that with Trump's own sexual escapades.

Two different topics.  I think the thing about is that people made such a big deal out of Trump's escapades shouldn't give Biden a pass.

What I'm seeing however is that he his not being given a pass.  CNN has had multiple stories about it even though Sanders people are claiming silence.  Vox, the Guardian, Politico, NBC, MSNBC, New York Times,  Newsweek, Washington Post, all outlets that have been accused of being liberal fake news media, have all covered it giving the accuser a voice.  It's big news.

One problem is that she's buried in a bunch of news about the pandemic and Trump's antics so it might not be forefront on people's mind's right now.

Of course we have Fox News to make sure people don't forget and the story doesn't get lost.

I will say it is odd they didn't ask the female potential VP candidates about it.

My point, exactly.

My guess is this lawsuit has more to do with clearing this kid for acceptance at a good college.

Rightly or wrongly, his smirking face is the face of this confrontation.

I highly doubt anything will come of this lawsuit.

Something did come of the lawsuits.  Big settlements.  First CNN.  Now, the WaPo.

I read about the settlements.

Funny thing is, no where could I find a dollar amount.

We know what the kid was seeking, but a settlement implies he got less than what he was asking for, doesn't it?

$1 could be the settlement amount for all we know.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the kid did get $1.

Interesting that Fox News chose today on their website to publicize violence in New York City.  Their headline is "NYC Descends Into Chaos" and has five stories about it.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/subway-shovings-flamethrowers-nyc-descends-into-anarchy

I have a friend in NYC and he states that things are quieting down during this surge and he doesn't see any "chaos".  But that NYC has always had crime.

The other mainstream media have taken notice as well, a few months ago but not with such gusto.  Clearly Fox's bias is showing.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/21/us/new-york-gun-violence/index.html

The two important stories of the day, the coronavirus and transition of power are covered there as well.

" Trump questions why Biden forming cabinet as his legal team continues voter-fraud fight" is the lead story about the transition.

About Coronavirus, no mention of the nearly 200,000 cases or record number of hospitalizations reported by other networks.  Their lead story is:

"Huntington Beach protest targets California’s coronavirus curfew"

The attack on NYC by Fox is part of a well publicized propaganda campaign by Trump loyalists to discredit the vote in large cities, such as NYC, Detroit and Philadelphia.

We have witnessed Trump loyalist attacks on the US elections in every swing state that Trump LOST to Biden.

Remember, Trump is losing in the courts, the there are still two runoff elections in GA.

Fox, forever the GOP propaganda machine, is simply carrying out a mission.

Nothing to really see.

Only 58 more days of global humiliation. Then Trump is BYE-BYE. He had better take a helicopter out of DC.

Otherwise, street celebrations may block his escape route. But the southern district of Manhattan, is coming after him!

Sorry, I know it is in poor taste but I immediately had a vision of the fall of Saigon in my head when I read that.

You seemed to not take notice of the portion of the headline, and then in the story, that "shootings have doubled".

I dont know if that translates to chaos.  But, it shouldnt be dismissed as "NYC has always had crime".

Almost 1400 shootings this year seems significant.

It is indeed significant and other media outlets have taken notice of this, including CNN and the New York Times weeks prior to Fox making this a headline.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/02/nyregion/nyc-shootings-murders.html

Since this is a thread about the media and not necessarily the story, I was commenting on how Fox was reporting it.  That New York is falling into chaos, and that this seems to be the most important story of the day, along with their timing is what I'm commenting on.

At least today their lead story is about Trump losing his battle with election challenges.  Their next stories is about the "trifecta from hell" (If Democrats take the senate in addition to having the presidency and house), and a story about "New York Dems" breaking the rules at a large party without masks.

Not that any of these stories aren't newsworthy.

You give me too much credit, Grumpy.

I truly meant the street celebrations. Did you see the spontaneous dancing in the streets, when it was announced that Biden WON the election, and Trump LOST?

Inauguration day is going to be a street festival, in the USA.

And probably around the world, as we also saw, when Biden WIN was announced.

The blight will be GONE, from the WH!

It was an emotional day for sure.  I listened to the NYT podcast interviewing people in Atlanta and some of them got emotional and cried.  It was quite the day.

Still, at the end of the day we have to deal with the 70 million people that voted for him and perhaps a senate whose only job is going to be obstruction (presuming Georgia stays Republican, but stranger things have happened), and of course Fox News an their anti-Biden agenda (and I thought their anti-Obama agenda was bad).

Still, at the end of the day, I will say "Bring it on!"
