I don't see that Phillips harassed those kids.

Philips (and group) walked up to the kids and among other things banged the drum in his face, if this was done to you in the same context would you think it was harassment? How do you think it is not?

And can we add Ann Coulter and Tomi Lahren to the conversation?  They are not quite in the Alex Jones stratosphere, but do their share of spouting Right Wing propaganda and lies.  They are a disgrace to the profession of journalism.

Tomi Kahren I’ve never heard of, and not too familiar with Alex Jones.  Not a Ann Coulter fan, and wouldn’t say she is a journalist.

You’ll have to count me out if we are going to go back and forth and simply name people in the media we don’t like.

It's Tomi Lahren, she's horrible; and you really ought to google "Alex Jones and Sandy Hook families". He's a media personality, not necessarily a journalist, and you really ought to be informed about what those parents have had to deal with. It really shouldn't be a partisan issue at all.

Daisy, obviously some people have only seen parts of the story they want to see.  It’s futile to reason with them.

Anyone who makes comments on the facts of this story should at the very least watch the video in my opening post.  Or, as it has been proven, you may run the risk of sounding like a ignorant moron.

Too bad he didn’t go up to the black Israelites and bang the drum in one of their faces.

""It really shouldn't be a partisan issue at all.""

I don't think it is! (except for those who like to stir things up).

He is too much of a coward and knew he wouldn't get away with that!

What good would beating the drum in the faces of hate group members do?

Probably nothing.  He probably went after the kids bc he figured he would get the media attention he wanted (bc of the kids wearing the maga hats) and get away with it, and apparently he was right as evidenced by people blaming the kids.

Not that I like Hannity all that much but he states his show is commentary, not news. Unlike CNN and others that call themselves "news" but report mostly opinion.

This thread is not specific to news. The general subject is the media, which puts the fake news people and programming on the docket, right?

Nah, I'd much rather talk about the false narratives that these media darlings spread on a regular basis.  Oddly, their misbehavior doesn't seem to upset people the way videos of a smirking boy in a maga hat does.

Would it make a difference to you if you learned that the native drummer and group was there as an annual activity?  Isn't it a comfortable and constant narrative, in this country, that white males are victimized by the behavior of others who seek to provoke them? Natives provoking genocide, slaves and blacks provoking lynchings and cruelty, women provoking rape and abuse? This poor young man was apparently provoked into acting like an 💣 and now he's suing.
