Oh you mean its fake news!?! On a so-called news channel? The same channel that dear leader gets much of his information from?

It’s telling that is the best example of fake news that you can find on Fox.

Very weak.

You're spinning.  The poster never mentioned "this is the best example of fake news that I can find on Fox".

Gregg Jarret is a legal analyst/commentator, expressing his opinion.   Other then expressing an opinion different then yours, what has he done to “misbehave”?

I don't think this poster's post needs any clarifying as it's pretty clear.   But it's not for me to say how you read it.

But I can agree that he isn't a journalist report news.  He's an analyst spinning it to his liking.

Ok, maybe it’s technically not the “best”, but they did use it as an example.  If Fox is so bad, why bother with this?

Because it fit in with the topic at hand and flowed nicely with the conversation??  The poster can speak for themselves though.

The Sandy Hook kids died.

The Covington Catholic kids are all alive and well.

There is no comparison between the two groups.

Frankly, I don't see how anybody can compare the victims of gun violence to the Covington Catholic kids.

I think it is nice that you respect herring's life experiences, which maybe very different from your own, and not simply dismiss them as anecdotal, or bragging, and insist that those experiences in no way give her opinion value.

Your statement to her, demonstrates a certain respect, that is refreshing.

I need to apologize for mixing up the elementary school kids at Sandy Hook with the shooting at Stoneman Douglass High School and David Hogg, et al.

I admitted in the Good Morning thread that I was groggy and that proves it.

As to herring, we are old friends and agree more than disagree.  It would be a pretty boring friendship if we were like The Stepford Wives.

Let's see . . . my son is almost 18 and he was a baby when I first joined AN.  herring and I go way back.  One regret is we haven't been able to meet in person.  I have met three other AN members and we try to get together when we can.

herring is my role model too.

He states misguided opinion as if it is fact. He insists that the FBI is like the KGB and that the Mueller team is made up of thugs.  He theorizes that the investigation is part of some larger conspiracy to protect Clinton.  He promotes this nonsense right from the programming of the favorite cable network of the president. That misbehavior by media doesn't matter?

Well, my comment applies to the Parkland students as well.

I am sure David Hogg would give up his "fame" if it meant he and his fellow students were never victims of gun violence.

There is no comparison between dead students, picked off for no good reason, and the Covington Catholic students.

None.

No, it doesn't.

The entire point of the right attacking the media is to prop up and protect Trump.

So, in fact, nothing sticks to him.

Trump has called the media, "the enemy of the people."

We all know why.

It investigates, and brings to light, possible wrong doing by him, and his administration.

Trump wants no push back.

We are all to fall in line.

His foot soldiers are simply following de facto orders to disparage the mainstream media.

Very simple.

Very obvious.

Those are his opinions.  He’s not reporting news while he does it, as far as I know.  Not any different then Rachel Maddow spouting off as if her opinions are facts.  You just don’t like his.

I personally don't feel any of the actors in the Covington school incident were victims-a bunch of would-be alphas bowing up at each other to an impasse.

Is this thread about the "media behaving badly," or is it going to continue to center on this one event? I'm probably out if that is the case...

...and you just don't like what you don't want to hear from Rachel Maddow.

Good point.

As far as that video, I just can't stomach the three of them.  I have such a dislike of Mrs. Bondi, who is on her third marriage, yet campaigned for the "sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman" I just can't listen to her.

I don't have cable and can't watch things like Hannity and Maddow, but when I did, I chose not to because what I don't like about either of them is the one-sided approach.  Both are going to spin to fit either the pro-Trump or anti-Trump side and not give much presentation of the entire picture.

I will say that Hannity, while entitled to his opinion, does promote conspiracy theories and falsehoods and really twists and spins too much.   Maddow takes a more pragmatic, researched  approach with her obvious spinning to the left but doesn't get too crazy with it.
