You are reading page 2 of McConnell the Man Who Broke America. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

NPR had extensive interview with McConnell last night.

Sickening. Just sickening.

He is playing up the "angry mob" line.

I guess he thinks Trump rallies are high-tea events, with calls for bodily violence against protesters and chants of "lock her up."

I will be calling his office to educate the old man.

And Rand Paul has been yakking about the same thing.

I guess he has forgotten how his then, underage drunk son assaulted a flight attendant several years back.

Oh, and Mitch McConnell's daughter, Claire, tapped children to chairs, and taped their mouths shut, while teaching in upstate NY.

Where did she learn that behavior?

In other Kentucky news, the Republicans are blocking tens of thousands of voter registrations, 70% of which are from black communities, which represent only about 1/3 of the state population. At the same time, Trane is announcing that they are closing their Kentucky plant.

McConnell is exactly the type of man who would trade free elections and democracy for the illusion of power.

Yes, I did indeed call McConnell's office this afternoon, to express my disgust over his "mob" remarks.

I stated that Trump pep rallies look like in unruly mobs to me, especially when Trump touts violence.

Disgusting.

It's amazing.

McConnell can't find his voice during the prolonged government shutdown, but his voice box works just fine to criticize HR1.

Among other things, the provision seeks to make Election Day a federal holiday.

McConnell has called the bill "unAmerican."

So, I just called his office and said: If the Senator can't say anything smart, he should keep his mouth shut.

Hmm.

Why, oh why, would the Republican leader be against making it easier for people to vote?

Hmmm.

Oh, right, because when large numbers of voters turn out, Republicans lose.

Good ole Mitch.

Always looking out for himself.

No fan of McConnell here, but the holiday provision isn’t really what this bill is about.  Any reasonable person can see its unlikely that is the why and reason he opposes it.
