where does she get her sense of entitlement? is this a message from God that i am an addict? i just left MY chair for one minute to check this bb...got sidetracked a few minutes and when i returned to MY chair, my coffee was almost gone and my bassett hound revealed her true colors by going on her back in her typically submissive position and started wagging away.......dang, i've raised a doggie monster. what has this world come to???

Have ya'all seen the comercial where the golden retriever eats the guys sandwich, drinks his Pepsi and then sets the cat up on the counter all while the guy goes to the door?:chuckle

my parents had a dog that ate a 3 pound roast -- they got called away from clearing away in the kitchen and when they went back, both assumed that the other had put the roast away. the next day when they were going to make sandwiches, they found out that it never got put away -- in the refrigerator anyway. Penny was not hungry for a couple of days and they found a rather large grease spot on the carpet in front of the fire place -- :chuckle

Oh, you have a basset? I am also a basset momma! I have two boys, Bud and Rufus. They are the funniest things ever. They have taken over my furniture, knocked over lamps, eaten rolls of toilet paper, and at 55 lbs each think they are lap dogs! I wouldn't trade them for anything! :)

:rotfl: :rotfl: I don't think you're the coffee addict, but I do think your dog Marje is though.

oh lordy, they are gorgeous!! how old are they? are they brothers? and aren't they a riot!!! my dh thinks they're the stupidest dogs ever but i just think they're being stubborn. and yes, lap dogs definitely. the flubby, drooly, glorious jowls....i had a female basset (ellie may) who i only had for 1 year (when my kids were babies) for we were tenants and the house was being sold....that was like giving away one of my own kids, very traumatic. i had a male basset growing up (alfie) who was also awesome. i just wanted some female companionship this time around, you know, the girl thing. i do have pix but am totally inept on how to scan pictures.....

I have 23 favorite types of dogs. Basset Hounds, the Pugs, and Beagles. I had a beagle named Susie years ago. She was sooo smart, clean with herself, and loyal to a fault.

Nice try. I used aliases. My sisters' real names are Josephine, Florence (mt twin) didn't like the name so she changed it to Cheyenne. But I told her she'll always be Florence to me. Then there are Wilma and Theresa.

That's so funny, my cat does this too. I usually put my coffee cup in the microwave so I know it will be safe when I leave it. Too funny. Maybe somebody should market doggie/kitty coffee and become a millionare.:rotfl:

Caught the cat (Bobby, one of the three red tabby brothers) drinking dh's iced grapefruit soda yesterday!

He also loves Kerns pineapple/coconut juice.

And, I came around the corner recently when dh called, to find Bobby curled up in the crook of dh's arm, happily licking his lime popsicle.

We love our cat-babies!
