Tribute to James Brown

  1. Hello,

Well a very talented man has passed on. Is it possible to name all his songs?
Although at times I find myself saying "What did he say?" Just thought we could try to think of some of his songs. I guess I start with

    "Living in America" (Party hard)

Yes, it would hard to name all his songs. He literally had dozens and dozens of hit records, especially on the R&B charts.

"I Feel Good" is a classic that I love.

May he rest in peace. He was quite the musician that's for sure. Prayers said for his family, and for the woman and her son (Jame's son, too) who got locked out of his mansion until the reading of his estate I guess - all because the attorney and family said she and James weren't legally husband and wife. Geesh! Putting a five year old boy out of his father's home is INSANE! God help those people who did that to that little boy. The child didn't deserve that inspite of whether or not the woman is legally married to his father. She stated that she and the child have lived in the home for nine years as a family with James, and that James wanted everyone to address her as his wife. I hope they let her back in the home soon.

"say it loud" and "I've got that feeling" are two great ones...

I live in the same area the Godfather did. The TV stations are using various songs of his as their station break background music. My DH and I stopped one time when his tour bus broke down on I-20. JB used my cell phone. He was very courteous. Strange but courteous.

There's a line in a song....'maybe it's because Im from Augusta GA.' well he wasn't! He lived in Beech Island SC. It's a wide place in the road just across the Savannah.
