Ok, I'm checking in from Maryland which is actually quite far from tornado alley.
However, we had an F5 last spring (eek! still rebuilding) and are under a tornado watch today.

Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon tornados roared through Northwest Ohio. 5 people have died due to these awful storms they think that ths tornado that absolutely devastated Van Wert county was an f4 which packs winds up to 250 MPH. 2 people died in Van Wert, 2 in Continental, and I in Seneca County. The storms just went over our area in Luckey. I could hear the the towm siren going off, so I know they were close. I'm still shaken by the whole thing. Please pray for the people who lost their lives due to these terrible storms. I love you all. Warrior Woman.

Glad to hear you and your family are okay Theresa.

I've got family in Ohio and Indiana, but they are just fine.

Today, there is a tornado watch here in Dover, Delaware where I am currently on vacation until after Thanksgiving. So far, all it has done is rain, a little thundering and lightening. The sun is trying to come out now.
We're OK here in Toledo, just some high wind damage. And a scary evening in the basement!

Anyone who watches the local news channels of this area knows how fun it can be to watch the 3 main channels all claim that their meteorological equipment is the quickest and best. I find it interesting that the tornado sirens were wailing for at least a whole 5 minutes before any of the news channels even knew anything

We are still under watch here in Georgia. I hate to hear about all the folks that have lost loved ones yesterday and today in the storms.
So far today it has just been windy and rainy. And just yesterday I was replying to Heather about how warm it was here for November. Guess I spoke to soon.
    Take care all.

We're okay right now here in the boonies of Northwest Ohio

How is everyone south of us? Hopefully the winds have died down.

I pray for those who lost their lives and their homes. I've never seen a tornado, but would like to. Don't ever want to be part of one. I can't imagine what it would be like and don't ever want to know. It's got to be one of the scariest moments of anyone's life to say the least, only to find out you've lost everything you've worked so hard for including one of your family devastating.

Northern Indiana tornado touched down about 40 miles from here, some injuries and buildings destroyed. Here lots of flooding of streets (due to fast, heavy rain and lots of fall leaves plugging the storm drains). But Ohio had the really bad tornados.
