I just celebrated my 3/4 of a century mark. Now the time has arrived when There are so many types and brands of new things I get confused. I was at our local Walmart today, looking for instant coffee. I got so confused when I was in the coffee isle by reading the numerous types of coffee; There was latte, the kind that a machine automatically brews, Dark roast, just to name a short list of all that was there, but I did NOT see any normal instant coffee in a jar. I got so frustrated, I spoke up loudly, "Is there any plain instant coffee in this aisle?" A middle aged couple spoke up and told me where it was located. I went to the opposite end of the "coffee" aisle and there it was! I bought all four large jars with the thought in mind; "I better buy it all because I might never see another jar!"
Another thing I am having trouble with is those passwords I must keep creating because although I do have a PASSWORD book, it's so tiny I can't find it. I have always had a problem with remembering names, so I don't count that one, but now I am unable to remember certain words. YIKES!
Scientists have said that our brains do lose memory cells as we get older, so my brain must have lost a numerous amount of them. Some people even say our brains shrink when we become Senior Citizens. And here I am. I try exercising my brain every time a caregiver comes around by playing Scrabble with her.
I guess I'll just have to learn to accept this aging thing, because there's nothing I can do about it except think young and keep having fun by saying humorous things. I'm at least good at that.
Very funny! Thank you Fran & HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
