I had a weird dream a few years back (you just reminded me) about Israel being demolished and the survivors all fled to the US.....it was out of the blue and very strange at the time....but now........

    It was a horrifying dream

Well I was in a Church (it was Christmas and I was "performing" apparently). So anyway, there are these loud BOOMS that like hurt my ears and, suddenly CNN is showing on this gigantic screen. I am watching this bomb travelling across the sky like a trail left behind an airplane and watching it travel to the horizon, which is apparently Iraq (remember this is a dream) and this is all terrifying to me. So it hits the ground with an earsplitting BOOOM and there's a mushroom cloud, but instead of the way it usually looks on TV there are, like stars and stripes coming out of it and all this loud, patriotic music like this is all some kind of MTV video.

Honest to god this was real and it scared the hell out of me. I was so happy when I found out it was a dream.

I kept having these terrible dreams about being trapped and unable to escape after 9/11. But none now. I don't have television. It helps alot really. I read the news, but briefly, and I follow along with the war threads here, but no tv.

Don't have any nightmares yet. I try to keep informed but don't keep myself glued to the TV.

i had a really bad dream last week, just out of the blue a warning went out, and there was nowhere to hide, just men dressed in nazi-type uniforms with guns. i couldn't run fast enough to escape, when i would look back, there one was aiming at me. i woke up with such a feeling of dread and sadness. bothers me now to even put it into words.

It's very scary, but no bad dreams yet here. I've been reading a lot though, sure sign that I'm stressed. (although, with the big hole in my living room floor from the furnace replacement debacle, that could be a source of stress too).

I've had some weird dreams lately, but not about the war. Just your usual people coming to kill you, kidnap you, chase you kind of things. Quite disturbing nontheless.

I will probably have bad dreams tonight, thanks to nightowl...

Adrien, I think our world has changed so much it is not at all unusal to have those types of dreams. I did not know anyone in New York 9/11, have never been there, have never even been on a plane, yet had some terrifying nightmares for a long time immediately afterwards. Now these dreams are sporatic, and admittedly come if I spend too much time on CNN. I am working hard not to walk around "freaked out" about current events, but since I live 45min from the home of the B-52s, I do have fears about my home/area being bombed.

Adrienne you are not alone and I feel that we all will have nightmares eventually...
I work with a woman who was a child in WW2 nazi germany and she told me of her memories of being a frightened child hiding in her darkened home while listening to the sounds of the bombs going off around her and wondering if her home would be next.
She still has nightmares to this day...
