Going to the Ballet

  1. We are getting all dressed up and going downtown for the ballet tonight..."Cinderella." We so enjoyed "The Nutcracker" in December that we pre-ordered the Cinderella tickets shortly thereafter. We will be going to dine after the show.

That would sound very sophisticated if I didn't already know we would be dining at Denny's afterwards :chuckle

"But Everything was beautiful at the ballet.
Graceful men lift lovely girls in white.
Yes, Everything was beautiful at the ballet..."

    I'm jealous.

Hey Zee: We might have passed you on the street: went to Heinz Hall for the symphony! We dined out also.......at Wendy's! LOL! How was Cinderella? We saw all these very sweet little girls all dressed up, some in costume.
But how long did it take you to get out of the parking garage? We sat for an hour, felt like a Jimmy Buffett concert!

Heck yeah, Pattyjo! We were just around the corner at The Benedum! My girls were dressed up but not too little...12 years old looking like teenagers. We got out of the parking lot pretty quickly...it was one of those $5 parking lots practically right across the street from the Benedum. But wasn't it nuts downtown last night?!! Lots and lots of people.

Cinderella was alright. The music was uninspiring and so the show seemed to drag (especially with two intermissions). The costumes were beautiful and the ugly stepsisters (male dancers) were the best part of the show. The Nutcracker we saw in December was wonderful and I guess Cinderella just didn't live up to our past experience.

Our next cultural excursion is going to be the Civic Light Opera. You wouldn't happen to know of a website where I can check out the upcoming attractions, do you?
