Ancient History?

  1. Today when I got home from the store, I found myself walking into the parlor to check my phone messages.

What's wrong with that is, we haven't had a landline for oh, about 4 years, and I had my cell phone with me the whole time.

    Duh.

What are some things that you catch yourself doing before you remember that it's

I'm always checking to see if I have enough film before I remember I have a digital camera (and not one that's also a telephone!).

And I always refer to my car CD player as "the tape deck".

I always say an artist has released a new "album."

Don't feel bad, I do that too and I've never owned an album.

Once I told one of my kids he sounded "like a broken record." He didn't know what that meant, lol!

I still say "creme rinse" instead of conditioner! And I don't even think it's called conditioner anymore, I think it's called "product" now. :uhoh21:

I told a med student my patient had the ague, (pronounced AY-gyou) he didn't know what that was. I told him it was an old diagnosis for fever, aches, pain and chills, he thought I was making it up or using a folk term. One of our ER docs assured him, it really was a word.

Oh wow...I say the record/album thing, or even tape and my kids tease me. I will also turn to push down all my door locks in my car and I have had automatic ones for years!

Grabbing my popcorn maker and remembering I have microwave ones and no other kind.

Getting up to change channels or volume on tv I have had a remote for years (I use to BE my dad's remote!).

Telling my kids I will get the mecurchome for scratches/scrapes and I haven't seen that in years (old habit from my childhood scratches/scrapes).

Oh I am sure I do much more! LOL

I know this is kind of sad but every once in a while someone will tell me something and I will think to myself that I need to call my mom and tell her about it. Then it hits me that my mom passed away 6 years ago. I do that all the time.

I also talk about musical groups putting out a new album, do they even make albums anymore?????? Don't think so they just burn a disc now. LOLOL sure shows how old I am getting LOLOLOL:roll
