the vet called me and told me kizzy took a turn for the worst. i went down and held her she meowed like she knew i was there. i told her i loved her and it was okay to go to heaven. they gave her the shot and i held her as she passed away. i am sad and very lonely and miss her. she is not suffering anymore , but i am. i kissed her and held her and told her how much i loved her. my heart is broken

Oh Kizzykatlove, I am so, so sorry for your loss. :(

This just makes me feel so sad because I know how difficult the loss of a wonderful, beautiful pet can be.

You are in my thoughts.

I am very sorry for your loss, but just keep thinking it is for the best and she is in a much, much better place and she is not suffering at all.

Oh, I'm so sorry.

My Tigger died a year and a half ago. He was failing, and we took him to bed with us and he purred in my arms as he slipped into a coma. My husband was holding him that morning when he took his final breath.

I'm so sorry that your baby is gone.

One of the worst experiences of my own life was to make the decision to have my own cat, who I had gotten when I was 6 years old, put down (I was 19 y/o at that time.) He was ravaged with cancer, so the decision itself was clear enough. I still felt like a Mafia button man though, on top of the grief over the death of my long-time pet.

i am soooooooo sorry. i can't imagine how much your heart is hurting right now. we were all rooting for kizzy. there are no words that can really comfort you right now but just know we are all here to listen. it can be harder to lose a pet than a person. you'll be in my thoughts tonight.

Kizzykatlove - I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you found such great support here. I want you to know that you can also find support at http://www.petloss.com/

This is an absolutely wonderful site where you can find peace and understanding. I found myself totally drowning in grief over the death of Stanley (a little black dog) and found this site late one night just before Christmas a few years ago. It helped me immensely.

You did what was best for Kizzykat, and she will tell you that later when you are together again.
