Reading posts by our member Lil Nel got me thinking about music from and about Kentucky.  Although I love Bluegrass and hope people will post their favorite Bluegrass performers and songs this one os also fun.

Thanks, herring! Will listen tomorrow ... or that would be 'later today' now, I guess. Anyway, this house is so quiet, even a low volume would get someone's attention, especially Ozzie who is currently sleeping on his doggie bed, which is half way under my bed, which has a 12 inch clearance for him and the boxes that compromise the maze to his Dog Cave.

🤔 Well, THAT certainly has a lot to do with bluegrass!!! 🙄

Bluegrass and Folk music are a huge part of Alaska life.  Children in remote homes learn to play fiddles and guitars and mandolins, and whatever instruments are available, to while away the many hours of dark and inhospitable weather in enjoyable yet purposeful ways. That was not my experience growing up in Iowa. I didn't know any musicians growing up, we played records, not instruments.

Since my teens, I have taught myself to play several instruments with adequate proficiency to entertain myself. With the addition of social lubricant I might try to entertain others also...it's usually chuckle worthy.
