So, I'm in Kentucky for work and today when we got back, 1000 high school students had checked into our hotel. They had been making quite the ruckus tonight, but then did this to celebrate the start of the Olympics. Not the best video, (cause my fear kept me pretty far from the edge) but that's 18 levels of them singing! Amazing!

Must be many high school choirs coming together for an event . . . those are trained voices. Beautiful!

I was in choir in high school and we traveled to events where we would compete with other choirs. Good memories.

I'll have to share this with my old classmates.

It's the Kentucky all state choir. The singing is tradition...they do it every year. I have some fellow faculty members (music department) that were there this week. They really are good!

I figured it was a planned event maybe a flash mob kind of idea....the harmonies we breathtaking. But can you imagine a thousand high schoolers as a casual by stander and hearing them breaking into song. Awesome. I sang in high school and then some summer theater/local club band. Great memories.

I rarely regret what I don't have, but I wish I could sing like that.

I don't care if it was planned and rehearsed. It was awesome.
