Good morning!

J22, hope the running shoes help.

Ted, hope the puppy gets better soon.

Very busy at work yesterday.  Left at 8:45 finishing up charting.  Started out with five and went through seven patients throughout the day.  When I was getting an admission the secretary the secretary made the mistake of saying "you only have four patients".   I said "I'm not shooting the messenger, but yes I only have four but it needs to be understand that this is my seventh patient today and I'm horribly behind, numbers are just numbers".

Today won't be any better.   One of our new grads on orientation passed her boards.  She still of course now has another 12 weeks orientation and another couple of nurses start in a couple of weeks.

Tweety getting 7 new patients throughout the day is too much, even if you never had more than 5 at a time

NJ22 hope that the new shoes help

Ted glad that it just proved to be some dermatitis, hope it clears up soon

Stars I hope your DH feels better

Hi Dianah

Another very productive day at work, only one person answered.  Was able to make calls scheduled for the next day as well.  Hoping today goes smoothly as well

After work was productive too, got grocery shopping done as well as laundry before the online Bible study

Sleep was a bit off last night, woke up an hour early, read a bit, then fell back to sleep.  Hasn't happened in quite a long time, not sure why it happened then

Today, apart from work, things should be fairly quiet.  The usual exercise and embroidery after work.  Was looking to see if my hobby can be used for charitable purposes, but it seems embroidery is not really needed.  Charities are more interested in knitting, crocheting, sewing, and quiltmaking.

As an experiment have been keeping away from my politial websites as well as political social media.  I remmber hearing the health guru Andrew Weil suggest trying a "news fast" so I wanted to try a limited verison of that.  I am not sure they provide me with much in the way of useful information and I know social media in particular can be a negative influence

Will be cooler for the next few days, in the mid 70s, which will be a nice break from the 90s we have been having.  Might be some rain but mostly it should be dry

Sending along healing thoughts for Sedona. I am glad you have a vet who seems thorough.

Good grief, Tweety. It sounds like you are just churning patients through. Good for you to push back. Do you get overtime for missed breaks and staying late to chart? I hope so, because that is something the bean-counters hear loud and clear.

Joe, our temps are cool, as well, in the 70s. I need your birding eyes when I walk. I saw goldfinches last night, and maybe cedar waxwings? except they seemed to small.

Dh is still on vacay, and has been bringing  me to work and picking me up so he can use my car instead of his work truck. It makes me feel a little trapped. Sitting at work waiting for return phone calls, and IT assist with a computer issue. Will try to run tonight after work and check out the new shoes.

Stars and Dianah, let me know if that staring at the fridge works to get it cleaned. It seems to work for my dog when he wants to be walked, lol.

Uh, I'm feeling really dizzy, but do you think I can find a bloody BP cuff anywhere? Very nice co-worker probably has one squirreled away in all her stuff but she's out of the office for the next 2 days. I guess I can use a pedi-cuff and check on my forearm. Or maybe I'm just hungry.

Ta

Uh, it's 2021. I still write 2020 though. I thought something was amiss at first but I off-kilter a lot.

Can mods fix the date?

Sorry about the wrong date.

J22, yes being hourly employee I'm am paid every minute working and they get in big trouble if we miss a lunch and they don't pay us.   The bean counters don't bother us for missing lunch or staying late.  The only thing the law requires is a 30 minute uninterrupted break.  We can work 16 hours and they are only obligated for that 30 minute break.  100% of the days I take a 30  minute and that's all.  Hope you're dizziness got better.

Joe, hope you had a productive and good day.

Hi Dianah.

Work was okay to today.  I got one admission and fortunately the ER was kind.  Two surgeries were postponed and were scheduled to arrive for the night shift and two canceled which made our day a whole lot better.
