You must be listening to the testimony today, learning about how the shadow state department (Giuliani) got the anti-corruption ambassador removed so that they could engage in corrupt activities. I wonder how you feel about knowing that the president is spinning conspiracy theory and trying to intimidate the witness with real time tweets.

You are absolutely, correct baloney.

The attacks Trump has launched against the Whistleblower are unbecoming anyone sitting in the WH.

Rand Paul lapping up those attacks, like a kitten at the saucer of cream, is deplorable.

Again, Clinton was right, a basketful of deplorables.

No, not talking about someone else's high crimes.  Yes, I am certain on what they meant by bribery.  Ever read Madison's notes on the Constitutional Convention?

If Zekensky had offered Trump an investigation on Biden in exchange for one million dollars to Zekensky's bank account, and Trump complied, then there would be a legitimate case for impeachment.

That would be bribery.

So in your view, Trump offering to release the military aid and invite Zelensky to the white house in return for a public statement on investigating the Biden and Crowdstrike conspiracy theories is not bribery? Are you arguing this because you do not believe that holding or releasing military aid on the basis of a personal favor which will have campaign benefit for candidate Trump is not bribery or extortion? I wonder if you can explain how holding a thing of value back until the person needing or wanting the thing does a favor for the holder is not an example of bribery or extortion. How is your example bribery and the Trump example is not...what is the definitive difference, in your opinion, that makes one a crime and the other not?

Further, does it trouble you at all that at the center of this Trumpian scandal is the fact that an unelected and unconfirmed delegate (Giuliani) was working with corrupt men  (Igor and Lev) to undermine and smear the anti-corruption US ambassador?  How do you feel about the POTUS saying that she was bad news and was going to go through some things (the claims against her were Giuliani fabrications) on that phone call with President Zelensky?

I think we all know that Trumpsters really don't care about unelected, who knows what Giuliani is, besides a thug, so long as the deplorable agenda is upheld and protected.

Sad, but true.

It is HILARIOUS that Trump is Tweeting real time insults at ambassador Yovanovitch, after publicly stating he isn't watching the impeachment hearings!

HILARIOUS!!!!!

Trump's ego won't let him look away.

This is the same ambassador who was there when the last administration refused to provide arms to Ukraine.  She was also there when the corrupt Ukraine govt was working with the DNC to sabatoge the Trump campaign.  Trump had more then enough reason to get rid of her.  Not that he needed any.

The only channel I get is CNN.  They have grabbed on the "witness intimidation in realtime" lifeline in a desperate attempt to not sink with the "bribery" ship.  Of course, that would make The Schiffster ("I don't know who the whistle blower is") complicit as she wouldn't have known about it in real time if he hadn't read it to her.  Nevermind that the tweet wouldn't be considered intimateding by anyone but the run of the mill Trump hater.

This hearing, combined with the CNN coverage is a train wreck I can't look away from.  Part of me is hoping for a impeachment trial.  Right in the middle of primary season would be great.  Id love to see Sanders, Warren, and the other senate Presidential candidates choose between this circus and campaigning.

Don't know if you all have had a chance to read the latest news, but Roger Stone has been CONVICTED for lying to Congress.

Yes. Another WITCH is CAUGHT.

Cue Donavan: Must be the season of the Witch!

He's quite busy.  Discredited her, released a document of the phone call, and then went on to talk about how great the economy is doing "jobs, jobs, jobs!!".

It's very important to remind people no matter bad things are going with him the economy is good.

I am beginning to wonder if the Trump cult, is similar to Scientology, in that there are layers, and a hierarchy, based on financial contributions.

What do you all think?

Not sure, but he certainly has people like McConnell and Graham kissing his butt.

Plus the most important layers are the rural and not so well off.

They are quite hard to figure out because it doesn't make sense to me.

If only that had what had happened, and only if there wasn't any reason to investigate Biden.

Oh, and Trump invited Zekensky to the White House way back in April.

One opinion of Trump's tweet:

Quote

Trump's tweet completely undermined the Republican strategy. For one thing, the tweet made clear that he did in fact single Yovanovitch out — which is exactly what the Democrats' line of question was intended to prove. Additionally, "Republicans did not want to attack Yovanovitch personally, just to portray her as a distraction from the main events,"

And the release of the transcript, of the initial Zelensky call, only served to prove that Trump wasn't really that interested in corruption in Ukraine, among other things.

You know I have long stated that Trump needs to shut his pie hole.

But he is incapable of doing so.

Yep.

He hangs himself, because he can't SHUT UP.

It may be one of his only good traits!
