Hope you all caught Melania Trump's oh, so touching defense of her son.

From CNN:

Melania Trump Defends Her Son After Professor's Joke At Impeachment Hearing

I didn't hear a joke.

I heard a comparison.

Nonetheless, Melania's faux outrage was so, so, heartwarming, wasn't it?

Too bad she couldn't muster the same indignation, as her husband ordered the separation of children from parents at the southern border.

Now, please excuse me.

I borrowed a jacket from Melania, and I must return it.

It's very fashionable. You've seen it.

I Really Don't Care. Do you?

A joke.

That's bad journalism right there.  It was an analogy and it was not wrong.  It was not insulting to the love child.  It definitely triggered Gaetz. Melania's response was right on cue, she quickly tweeted so that the witness would stop saying mean things about her husband, who can name his child Barron but can't make him a baron.

I have to agree, baloney.

I certainly wouldn't have written the comment as a joke.

It was a fair and good comparison.

Similar to the comparison this same lawyer used before, but with US Supreme Court Justice Alito.

She brought up SNL character "Pat," for comparison, when arguing a LGBTQ case.

But Gaetz, like Nunes, doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

And Melania, like her husband, seems to be little more than a crass opportunist.

I know I repeat this often, but gosh, it is so true: Trump lacks the intellectual capacity needed to learn.

Here the moron is the subject of impeachment proceedings, and yet, he repeats the moronic behavior that started said proceedings.

From today's WaPo:

Ukraine Lawmaker Seeking Biden Probe Meets With Giuliani

First, why the he'll is Trump's PERSONAL lawyer, still hanging around in Ukraine?

Secondly, read who this lawmaker is aligned with.

He was part of the pro-Russian party in Parliament.

And we know how much Trump loves all things Russia, don't we.

Looks like I am in good company, wondering just what the hell Giuilani is doing in Ukraine.

From today's WaPo:

Giuliani Returns To Ukraine, Signals Apparent Disregard For Inquiry

Among other things, Rudy is filming a documentary for a right-wing outlet.

And hanging out with lots of pro-Russian Ukrainians.

Poor, pitiful, Rudy.

And the best defense Republicans can muster is: "Rudy does, what Rudy does."

Good grief!

Still searching for the illusive Ukraine unicorn.

Another day of serious impeachment hearings with entertainment and comedic relief provided by Republicans. Mr. Castor's opening remarks verty carefully ignored all of the abundant evidence to once again whine about an unfair process.  Republicans appear prepared to offer not one thread of evidence that Trump did not do or say what it appears and sounds like he did and said.

That's going to be a problem outside of the cult.  Most people understand by now that Trump lies with consistency and his "perfect" call would only be praised by folks like "The Irishman".

Well, look at who is defending Trump, baloney.

Right-wing nuts from Infowars, like Owen Shroyer.

It would appear that the Republican plan is simply to disrupt the hearings and frustrate the chairman. Not much more.  I do enjoy watching grown men pout though.

The Republican attorney rarely made a statement, instead began most sentences with, "I think..."

I enjoy listening to hysterical White men pontificate.

House Democrats announce articles of impeachment against Trump ...

Quote

House Democrats on Tuesday announced that they will vote on whether to impeach President Donald Trump on two specific articles — abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler flanked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the chairs of four other panels involved in the impeachment inquiry, made the announcement “charging the president of the United States, Donald J. Trump, with committing high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Trumpublicans really want to change the subject to Biden while they pretend that Trump isn't corrupt. I feel stupider for listening to them.
