More deflection.  Strange how there is so much discussion of last events, and hardly any of the impeachment hearings.

Funny how Trump supporters don't want to talk about the fact that Trump tried to bribe and extort Zelensky and they want to just look the other way.  If you had watched the hearing you could have seen it for yourself.

Just for the record, how many of your comments have been about the impeachment hearing?

So you are quite certain that when they listed bribery with high crimes and misdemeanors they were talking about someone else's bribery or high crimes?

No, not talking about someone else's high crimes.  Yes, I am certain on what they meant by bribery.  Ever read Madison's notes on the Constitutional Convention?

If Zekensky had offered Trump an investigation on Biden in exchange for one million dollars to Zekensky's bank account, and Trump complied, then there would be a legitimate case for impeachment.

That would be bribery.

Not many.

I'm also not one of who's been waiting for this bombshell testimony that is supposed to be the latest thing to be the demise of Trump.

I heard the part where Taylor said about what an aid told him, about what someone else said about what they heard about the call.

Cue up the Journey song, "heard it from a friend".

Today should be an excellent day to watch the impeachment hearings, baloney.

The former ambassador to the Ukraine, will testify.

She is the diplomat who lost her job at the behest of Giuliani's indicted cronies, because they viewed her in the way of their self-interests.

Those cronies, the ones that Trump says he doesn't know, yet hung out with men on several occasions, including at an intimate dinner.

But hey, Trump also claims he doesn't know the ambassador he fired, and in that phone call to Zelensky, stated, would "be going through some things."

Hmm.

Only cultists believe the endless stream of lame excuses.

And they are a long, lost cause.

But I understand.

Only Trump is willing to hold that deplorable flag high and proud!

He means the current Democrats set this president and perhaps we should remember that we're impeaching him for no good reason.

All other issues aside, the Democrats are merely impeaching Trump because he's so popular and getting so much done, Democrats can't stand that and better to impeach.

He's victim of a witch hunt because they don't like him or his policies.

In the words of Fox News, it's Democrat Impeachment Hysteria for no good reason.  Just made up because Democrats don't like him and there's fear he's going to be re-elected.

Unfortunately I've been off for two days and can't talk about the hearings.

You know Tweety, of all the lame excuses Trumpsters come up with to justify and defend the indefensible, I especially enjoy their railing against "unelected bureaucrats."

Yet, there is Trump personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, an unelected, I don't know what, flying around the world, leading a smear campaign against a US ambassador, and conducting shadow foreign policy, and SILENCE from Trumpsters!

Where is the selective outrage from Trumpsters?

😉

It's baffling and I'm done.  You know more than anyone I've tried to see their point of view.  I understand being supportive of his policies but saying there's nothing to see and it's just because Democrats don't like him and his policies baffles me.  For Graham to say he's not paying attention because it's "Un-American".  For not wanting to know the truth and hold him accountable really bothers me.

If it's all a made up witch hunt, if all the lawyers and politicians are wrong that there is no offense, let all that play out and come out the same way they did Clinton.  I know we're not talking about Clinton, but she's the best example of how I want it to play out.  While I think they were a bit harsh in going after her, I wanted to know the truth and hoped it wall come out in the end.  Clinton and Democrats endured all of that but in the end they still called her "crooked Hiliary", "Killary" and are still saying "lock her up".  If they even had a bit of that same passion for truth for Trump I'd might not be so dejected.

In the end they have the Senate and Trump will not be removed from Office and stands a good chance of getting re-elected again.  But if there's offense then he needs to be held accountable.  If not then like I said before he can ride that train for all it's worth.

Ultimately they are going to have to do what I want, in  that they have to wait it out and endure the proceedings while the truth is sought out.  Too bad they aren't doing it with class.

Although Trump saying " "First it was the Russia hoax -- then it was the Mueller witch hunt," Trump said, referencing the former special counsel, to sustained boos. "We've been going through this from before the election took place. A bunch of bad people, and then, one of the single greatest lies ever told by anybody in this government. ... and now the absolutely crazed lunatics, the Democrats, the radical left, and their media partners standing right back there, are pushing the deranged impeachment witch hunt, for doing nothing wrong. We did nothing wrong -- and they're doing nothing."   Is pretty effective in rallying his public's mad love.

Broken record again.   Sorry.

So far, they've spent a lot of time establishing that Yovanovitch is a disgruntled ex-employee.

You must be listening to the testimony today, learning about how the shadow state department (Giuliani) got the anti-corruption ambassador removed so that they could engage in corrupt activities. I wonder how you feel about knowing that the president is spinning conspiracy theory and trying to intimidate the witness with real time tweets.

I think that the GOP is currently showing us that they are not interested in upholding the constitution or rule as law as much as they are committed to upholding Trump. It is discouraging to hear senators and representatives essentially take vows of ignorance in their desire to defend this president against facts outlining his dishonesty, corruption, and crimes. It is discouraging to hear members of the House repeat debunked conspiracy theory as if it is fact and is somehow exculpatory.

In the end, if Trump is not removed, he will engage in increasingly corrupt and dangerous behavior.  The damage to our republic will be enormous and could be the end of this experiment if we set the precedent now that the president is accountable to no law or oversight.  This president has no moral or ethical compass which might govern his unchecked behavior. Trump will be a dictator if allowed.

No need to apologize, Tweety.

Yes, I know you have tried hard to understand the Trumpster viewpoint.
