Good point.  The overwhelming majority are not watching it on Fox.  Also the overwhelming majority are not watching it all, myself included.  Compared to the country being gripped and nearly 70% (a number I heard and haven't verified) watching Nixon's impeachment.

I believe during the Nixon impeachment proceedings, television viewers had THREE channels in which to choose from. Four, I guess, if you counted PBS.

Today, there are literally 100s of channels to choose from, plus Hulu, Hoopla, Netflix, etc.

So a comparison is fairly meaningless.

It is a different world, entertainment wise!

Trumpsters don't seem to understand that the 54% of Americans who voted AGAINST DJT, do understand that Trumpsters are not interested in facts, quid quo pro, bribery, etc., as related to Trump.

We understand he represents and upholds their deplorable ideals.

And they do not matter.

All that matters, are the 54% and the suburban women and Independents, who are flipping Red to Blue.

You are welcome to depend upon clips to form your opinion. I watched and listened to the entire proceeding.  Sondland provided damaging testimony when he stated very clearly that the aid was conditioned upon Ukraine announcing that they were investigating the Bidens. Everyone was in the loop.

Meanwhile, the opening statements for today's hearing has set a stage as Ms Hill asks the republicans to not engage her in questions about the Russia friendly conspiracy theories that they have been propping up.

This is going to be interesting.

Yes.

Hill warned against the GOPs "fiction" surrounding Ukraine involvement in 2016 elections.

But isn't Trump's WH just a prime example of fiction?

Everything is a lie.

Perhaps Trump's presidency IS the Russia hoax that we hear about regularly. The fellow certainly projects his weakness and failures enough to make the idea plausible.

Today's NY Times has a piece about Republicans shifting, and sometimes conflicting defenses of Trump's impeachable behavior:

Republicans Seek To Muddy The Evidence...

The piece claims the GOP has messages aimed at three separate groups of Americans.

Well, that is problem number two, isn't it?

The first problem, is Trump is guilty as sin.

How you effectively launch a defense of the indefensible to three different groups, is impossible.

And yes, most of us can see the GOP is failing with two of the target groups.

Whatever you interpret the reason to be, that doesn't change the fact that most people aren't interested.

That's a sad statement.  I haven't been paying much attention to that sort of reporting, do you have a source?

I hope that people are paying attention because it is clearly laid out that Trump used his personal attorney to pressure the Ukrainian president to provide something of political value to Trump, and he withheld military aid until it became known that it was delayed for political reasons. It was widely known, as the ambassador testified under oath.

That's because the majority already know he is corrupt, or they know he is corrupt and just don't care because honesty and integrity is not important to them as long as the person identifies as a Republican. Lies, lies, and more lies don't faze people who don't value truth.

The folks I hang out with are interested.

And we all know Trump is corrupt.

Geez.

How many people did I list last week, associated with Trump, who have Bern convicted or plead guilty to crimes?

It was six or seven.

Those criminal birds of a feather, do flock together, don't they?

I notice Trumpsters never have a response to all those criminals orbiting Trump.

Hmm.
