You are reading page 19 of I'm a conservative, and i went to an alexandria ocasio-cortez rally. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

I saw here on a show and thought she could be flirting with Stephen Colbert.

Ocasio-Cortez is a highly talented beginner, still flying high on winning. Imagine what could happen with a mentor like, say, Nancy Pelosi. Wow!

Unless, of course, she does an Icarus - also a distinct possibility.

Meanwhile, it’s good having someone around willing to stretch the box.

I’m not exactly sure what talent she has, but I am pretty sure Nancy Pelosi has no interest in being her mentor.

Her talent is she defeated and established Democrat incumbent with many years of experience.  She's young, vibrant and a master at social media. and everyone is talking about her, she's making the talk show circuit.  All good political talent.

Can you expand upon why you wouldn't think Pelosi wouldn't want to mentor her?

I do hope she stops a while takes the wisdom and advise of some of those that have come before her.  To her and her followers Pelosi is "establishment Democrat" which is a dirty word these days so she might distance herself.  Pelosi was want a young politician and did progressive things like raise funds for AIDS back in the day when no one would.  Ocasio-Cortez would be wise to take pause and some mentoring.

If that is good political talent, what does that make one who is all those things (except young) but who won a presidential election?

I don’t see Pelosi as the mentoring kind, especially to someone who just as well would like to see the Pelosi’s of DC sail into the sunset.  I actually think AOC is right when she says the establishment is afraid of her bold new ideas.

All of those things made Obama successful.

In your opinion Pelosi isn't a mentor.

The establishment is generally represented by wealthy white men, so yeah, that established center of power is a little concerned that the curtain has been drawn back and actual ideas and enthusiasm for governing have been allowed on the stage.

I'm having trouble making a post because I hit send and took too long to edit.

If that's how I describe political talent in her why wouldn't I describe that from someone who wins the Presidency.  Not sure what that change of subject is about.  Actually anyone anyone that wins the Presidency has political talent.  Especially when they buck they establishment like Trump did.

I thought the link was lame.  What is the point of that?

I don't think that Democrats are "terrified" or afraid right now, it's just that some don't have the same ideas and understand you just down't talk in as a rookie representative and get any of that done.  They guy that lost took it well.  If others win elections and take over and pass such agendas it will happen.  Sure people will be upset and bothered.  The same as people like Mitt Romney said what he said about Trump and his bold new ideas.

I like her.

The right wing keeps attacking her, and she slaps them back.

No fear.

It's refreshing.

The link was simply for fun.  I don’t know that you got that far, but it made fun of Trump too.

Yes, Chare.  I wouldn’t bet she realizes that.  So, still the question remains.

It kind of sounds like you forgot she's not eligible.
