You are reading page 2 of I think coworker is in witness protection program. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Also, it should be "way too much time".

Obviously newgradnurse does not have enough time for spelling and grammar.

I always appreciate posters who bring up interesting and different topics.

Hoping this is a hypothetical for the purpose of light-hearted joking and conversation. Anonymous and Russian intelligence aren't the only hackers on the planet ... an AN isn't exactly a secure site to begin with.

This sounds like an "MYOB" scenario to me ...

Too busy figuring out coworkers' backstories! :)

Even if he is in witness protection what's it to you. Have you realized that any effort to find out could be violation of Federal Law. Maybe he just lost everything in the last big recession and had to make serious life changes.

Lol, Hppy's post made me laugh.

No, I'm not conducting an investigation. It's not a crime to think someone is in the witness protection program. You're too funny. :D

I also doubt the Russians, or the drug cartel, are monitoring AN for clues as to whether someone in the the witnesses protection program might be working in healthcare. :roflmao:

But ... if they are looking for someone who ratted them out, it's entirely possible that a post on a public board talking about witness protection might give them a thread to pull. How hard is it to write a program that automatically scans for certain keywords on sites with a certain threshold amount of traffic?

The point being that, while gossip is great fun (I love to gossip, myself), loose lips sink ships.

A person whose stories might actually be true, but they always seem just a little extravagant, possibly even grandiose given the other known facts of their life.

I thought it was a silly "Hey, maybe......"

Incidentally, this would have happened 30 years ago at least, probably in the 80s based on my coworkers stories from his wild youth, rolling in money, living the high life, and running his boat down to Central and South America. I remember now that he is my age, so probably around 60.

Most likely the kingpins are dead at this point. But, feel free to worry about my speculation leading to disaster and ruin,
