As of this morning, we haveI don't know about you, but I drove in this stuff of 15 years, and as long as it wasn't touched, I had enough traction to drive to my destination. However, I don't like the ice because you have NO traction, and the slush throws your vehicle all over the road.

Oh Fran. Stay warm and safe.

I've never driven in that much snow.

The worst I've driven was in Oklahoma where the bridges are icy during a winter rain.

Oh, not as much as you! We haven't had an overly snowy winter but because of these polar vortex things we've been having the thing where the weather was about 40 and then the snow fell and we got the ice under the snow. It's treacherous! The first time in 15 winters in Colorado I have bought snow tires. Usually I got around in all weather tires OK. Oh and I hope it's never -11F again or whatever silly numbers we've been having this winter.

Too much! Maybe 18 inches on the ground right now. But...it is supposed to be in the 40s today, so maybe some of that will go away.

We had ice overnight, and this is the first time since I moved to State College in 1996 that schools were closed two days in a row.

If you can tell me how to post a picture I'll show ya. This has been the snowiest winter we've had in ten years. Just got another foot this past weekend. Supposed to hit 40s-50s by the end of the week, thank goodness.

It total, before yesterday's above-freezing temperatures, I'd say we had close to 20" of snow. Here're some photos.

Pretty ... but I am ready to see daffodils. Some of those lilacs in the front snapped right off at the ground from the weight of snow and ice. Lucky they put up a lot of suckers, so we'll still have flowers.

(Thanks for the directions-- I saw the "URL" thing but missed the "on this computer" tab.

I have about a foot in the yard after some melting. Currently, there are about 5.5-6 feet piled on the sidewalk at the neighbors on both sides. Mine was only cleared because I have the community mailbox out front. Because the HOA ran out of places to put the snow, getting around the neighborhood is not easy or very safe, as many of the roads are only plowed open for 1 lane rather than the whole street. Ready for spring, or at least temperatures above freezing long enough for the snow to melt.
