Gosh, I haven't posted here in so many YEARS! In that time, I have worked in the offices of 2 home health agencies, gotten laid off from the 2nd agency, quit nursing for awhile, became an actor, then got back into nursing again to supplement my acting until I get that big break. I am now working in pediatric private duty on the weekends so that I'm available for "acting things" during the week. Life is a funny thing and takes you down roads you never expected to go down. Anyway, hello to all my old friends and hello to all the new nurses who have joined in the, roughly, 7 years since I last posted. Time does fly doesn't it?

Welcome back.

I've left and came back, left and came back. . . a few times. LOL!

This is a nice place to hang out, whether you're an actor or a nurse. I've known and met a few actors/nurses throughout the years. Feel free to share your story about your acting experiences. :) My wife and I have done a fair amount of musical theater throughout the years. (My wife is a nurse, too.) Most were paying gigs for stock theater, others were shows produced by community theater. It's all good, except that getting paid for theater gigs is always nice. My favorite musical theater show, to date, was musically directing and playing second keyboard for the musical, "Into the Woods". That was not a paying gig. The production value of that particular show, however, was quite professional.

Hi! Yes, welcome back.

Actor . . .my daughter's first choice on her list of what she wanted to do with her life. She's now working hard at learning to be a chef.

(She was a good actor but that's high school and I'm her mom so yeah, biased ......)

So, what else is new with you? What acting jobs have you gotten?

Thanks guys for making me feel welcome again. Things sure have changed on this site! It's very busy and looks great. Efiebke, nice to meet some other nurse/actors! I recently tried out for community theatre and am waiting to see if I will get to be in any productions. Spidey's mom, I have been in a webseries and a local tv pilot, both of which are online and have IMDB credits. Right now I'm waiting to record on an audio book that I was cast in. My name is Sabrita Gordon, thank y'all for being interested. I worked with patients this weekend and boy is this old body stiff right now!

It's interesting to read about your acting projects. It's equally interesting to read that most have to do with shows that are aired on the web.

My wife and I had dinner with two friends last night. One is also a very talented performer. Both he and my wife, Amy, were talking about the audition process down in NYC for Broadway shows. Both have gone to many auditions down in NYC in the past. Without a doubt, there are LOTS and LOTS of very talented and out of work actors and actresses. Getting a gig on a Broadway production is next to impossible it seems. (Both my friend and my wife have the acting and singing chops to work on Broadway which is true for many other talented individuals, too.) The idea of performing for a web-series or some kind of internet-related production is relatively new. It also gives an actor or actress one more possible venue for performing. (For the record, my very talented wife has performed for regional theater in the past. She's also performed for a special theater touring production of "A Christmas Carol". Heck, the two of us used to be lounge-musicians on a cruise-ship a long time ago! LOL!)

I wish you well with your performing ambitions. :)

Ted
