When I was eligable, I donated blood, & I have chosen to donate any part of my body that will be useful to medical science after I die.

Same here. My driver's ID is checked off for Donation.

Having received 2 units blood this past May, I'm IN-eligible for blood donations for a year, I read.

I am forever indebted to whomever was thoughtful enough & dedicated to have donated during C19. I am O+, so I am especially thankful.

They can have whatever is left of me that is still able to function, once I'm gone.

I have the pink organ donor dot on my driver's license too. I donate blood at least once a year, and most years four times. Decades ago my sister-in-law went on dialysis and then the list for a transplant. I went to two organ donor places, one being my work place. It took several weeks to get the response by email that although healthy I was too old in my late fifties.

SIL took excellent care of herself. She used the cookbooks for dialysis patients, went bowling after her outpatient treatment, and traveled with her bowling league and to the annual family reunion in different states. She had dialysis wherever she was. She also remained beautiful until her death by MI just before she turned 80. Almost 15 years on dialysis.

Awesome. If my kidneys failed, I don't believe I would choose to be on dialysis though. I would have to discuss my choice with my daughters, and tell them why, then consider their input.
