Morning friends!!:wavey:

back from my trip to see Nanna... I am soooo glad i went. She does have some dementia that is evident but was "right on" for much of my time there...and LOVED being with the baby. will post pics when i have more time.

((((Jnette)))so sorry to hear about Mutti.. have you thought about getting a PT consult? Medicare would most likely pay; and seeing that you already have the HHA's it shouldnt be difficult...just a thought. As far as the room goes; great idea..there is a new laminate product that looks like tile but is fairly thick... would probably be insulating as carpet is... jmho..

((Alois)) glad to see you back ; some times some introspection is good to head us on the right track.\

hi Don! missed ya!!

(((Julie)) I understand how difficult this is. went to visit Dads grave with the baby..:scrying: so sad to think he is missing this!

Sabby! congrats on the award!!!

well better go get ready for work. prayers and hugs for all those who need them; good luck to those starting new jobs. Hope its a great day for all!

ps mods if someone else is also starting the gm thread please merge!! mary

good morning and wake up everyone...........

if someone else has started this thread please merge us together :yeah:

had a busy but unusual day yesterday.

ever wonder why people do things and what goes on in their heads?

my lpn that works in the va office was acting weirdly yesterday. we arrived the same time, she marches straight into the office not saying good morning to me.

i go in and say hi to the receptionist and put my computer etc in my office.

come out and the lpn had shut her door!!

obviously she did not want me to go in there so i did what i needed to do and got the heck out of there to see my patients.

i am confused by her behavior and somewhat hurt. she has been acting a wee bit cool of late and i do not know why as i am hardly ever in the office  *sighs*

i will address this with her if the behavior stays the same as i cannot stand having 'bad' air in the office.

me is a lover not a fighter :heartbeat :d :heartbeat

anyhooooooo how is everyone doing? what is going on of late that i may have missed?

hope you all have a great day and enjoy this beautiful cooler summer weather.

excuse the little rant/vent above but i feel better just typing it down.

tooooooooooodleooooooooo for now

I merged both threads

Good morning Sabby and DDRN, it's been ages since I have posted in the good morning thread, would love to say been busy in work but still not allowed back as my leg isn't strong enough yet.

DDRN glad you had a good trip with your Nanna, those times are precious

Sabby maybe your LPN was having a bad day, it maybe something outside of the office that has made her behave differently, she may well need a bit of support.

ANyway, I've got a very quiet day planned, it is the last week for my daughter in junior school so she is very emotional this week, half of her class is going to the county secondary (high school) school and the other half is going to the local catholic high school. They are all very emotional as they feel like they are losing friends.

I'll be on stand by with tissues for when she comes home as today is the last but one day.

I can't believe my baby has grown so quickly, she doesn't seem old enough to be going to big school. You blink and thier childhood is gone

Good Morning to all ! :)

Made a quick WMart run before coming into the office (it's jsut around the corner, about a mile) and now sitting at my desk sipping my morning brew.

DDRN.. (((((((((thank you))))))))))

I have considered PT and my colleagues here at work have said the same. Might give it a shot next cert period, but I truly don't know how effective it would be with her severe DJD bilat knees.. plus the Alzheimer. Might not get very far, but worth a shot, right? She IS walking again, however.. yesterday she did really well, even pulled herself up on her walker from her bed. She's a tuff cookie, I'll tell ya. So hopefully, things are getting back to what they were.

I think I'll go with the laminate flooring, it certainly would be more practical. It needs to be functional.. I can always decorate around it to make it cozy and inviting for her.

Hoping to get my car back by the weekend, but not holding my breath, either. $7,000.00 worth of damage. Wow. :stone

Sabby...sorry about your colleague. I hate it when ppl give you an attitude but don't have the guts to share what's bugging them. :nono:Hope things improve. :icon_hug:

And congrats on the award form me as well.. better late than never, right? ;) You're a good'n and you so deserve it! :w00t:

Methinks I shall book Mutti and my flights to AZ. this evening when I get home. Get that out of my way. We'll fly Oct.2, and I'll return the 6th. And on the 16th dh, Minnie Dog, and I head for the beach !!!!!!!!!!!! :bowingpur

Back to Topsail....... made those resevations back in March already! :chuckle Can hardly wait!:yeah:

OK.. with that pleasant thought in mind, I shall now turn to my work....

Hope you all have a pleasant day today ! Hugs to all ! :wavey:

Hi guys here is a "Remember When" ha ha!

Have a perfect day today!

*Waist Deep*

While driving through Buffalo after a heavy snow storm, a motorist noted a cop, apparently waist deep in snow, directing traffic. Feeling sorry for him, the motorist called out "I'm sorry you have to work half buried in the snow."

The cop called back "Don't feel sorry for me, feel sorry for my horse!"

Well, I've got to work tonight. Might do some work for our presentation on Thursday, try and get all the separate bits together. Monday's presentation went fine. Thursday will mark the end of the first half of summer, and then onto the more difficult second half. I'm a bit uncertain how I'm going to deal with working up to 3 days a week and studying for two classes, but at least the classes I'm taking are much more relevant than the ones I've just taken.

Good Morning all. It has been ages since I have posted on the GM thread.

Had a bad night last night. My silly kitty thought she would try hood surfing. I pulled out of the garage and started down the street when this fat kitty body started rolling down the windshield. As she was trying to jump off the hood I had to slam on the brakes to keep from running over her she face planted in the street and then bolted away. I then spent about the next hour and a half in the dark trying to find a very upset kitty, al the while praying she wasn't horribly injured. (this is the 6 year olds kitty)

She finally turned back up home with an abraded swollen face. I took her to the Animal ER and had her checked out. Other than some ugly abrasions to her face and a couple of missing teeth she appears to be fine. Thank God for miracles!!!!

Dh took our little recued mommy kitty to drop off at the vet today for her spay. She is in heat and I have 3 Tom cats lurking around the house hoping to "make friends".

Still need to find her and her 3 babies some good homes. Anyone need a kitty???

Good morning all!

DDRN, sounds like a satisfying trip, you'll always be glad you and the baby saw your Nanna. :)

babynurselsa, POOR KITTY!!! She'll heal up, but how scary! Lots of lovin' for her, for sure!

Jnette, flooring plan sounds good, as does TOPSAIL!! Glad you got your reservations!!

Yes, car repairs are astronomical!! How long will it be in the shop??

Hugs to you, Minnie Moo and Mutti. :)

Hi :wavey: jmg! Pre-work coffee turn out OK? Hope work is smooth.

sharrie, yes they grow up so quickly.

At each age/stage, being 'grown-up' seems so far away, but the day comes when one looks around and their childhood is past and GIANTS rule the house (at least for me, with two boys, lol!)!!

I hope she can keep in touch with her friends at the other school (the kids these days have such a plethora of communication devices, and they know how to use them!)

Joe, hope work isn't too bad tonight.

Zoe, :nono: :nono: NOOOOOOOO, not the HORSE!!!!!

We have a FULL schedule PLUS SOME at work today, and only two of us nurses and no tech, so we're bringing our roller skates, lunch AND dinner, and sleeping bags. :D :D

Y'all have a good one! :)

Greetings from Down Under 26_11_14.gif It's WEDNESDAY here! :D

I leave tomorrow for my 3 week visit with my sister! :yeah::dance:

Today I'm packing my suitcase and gathering the last bits ' ' pieces to take with me.

Last night DD and her BF came for tea to bid me farewell and wish me a happy and safe flight.

DH had cooked last night; (we take it in turns).

He cooked a beef casserole. I'm in the process of biting into a piece of the "beef"; next thing I'm going; "ewww YUK! WHAT IS this??!!" He'd FORGOTTEN to remove the sachet of bouquet garni BEFORE serving the food!!!:barf01::rolleyes::chuckle Luckily for him, he'd excelled and the meal was delicious! :)

Australia is hosting the 2008 WORLD YOUTH DAY. Thousands of Catholic pilgrims are in Sydney for the occasion. Young people from all over the world have gathered for this, and it's just wonderful seeing the images on TV of their happy and smiling faces. The joy and peace and friendship is very evident. The Pope is here and there's all kinds of celebrations taking place. Tomorrow there'll be a "Boatacade" (:D That word made me chuckle. I'd not heard it before!), on Sydney Harbour, with the Pope onboard. Then there's to be a HUGE mass at the conclusion with the Pope presiding. Even if you're not Catholic or even a christian, you have to feel good at seeing such goodwill amongst the young people from so far and wide across the globe.

Ok, must dash!

Sending warm thoughts to everyone and wishing you a happy WEDNESDAY once you reach it! :lol2:

Cheers.............

Gracias . .. . got a belated "Happy Birthday" today from one of my friends who is in Vietnam with our team . . . :D

Had a Hospice Reg meeting today . .. .whoooo boy!

Sabby - maybe your co-worker is struggling with something and just wants to go to work, do her job, and leave. I've been that way . . . . isolated, afraid to share.

I have a headache, it is hot, I'm gonna go lay down on the couch in front of the cooler. . . . .
