Well good morning, good evening!!

Anyone else wondering how Sabby Dabby is doing?

I slept too much last night, paying for it tonight, dang it! Torn - should I get up at the hour I would like to start waking up on a regular basis, or should I just sleep enough tonight and try again tomorrow night? Sleep hygiene says you should go to bed and get up at the same times every day, even on your day off (among other principles, there are some who suggest not using ELECTRONICS after a certain hour! ;))

So anyway, tired, making a soothing cuppa tea (I heat up a cup of milk ONLY, barely steep a tea bag in it ( for a little bit of flavor) - a splenda and mmmm ... sigh...

Well, I hope you all are having a good day/night/sleep/shift, whatever you are doing!!

xo

Good morning, Liddle. Seems like just the 2 of us but I guess t'others will desert their teddy bears before long.

Not being able to sleep is the pits. I learned to sleep anytime when working cattle---we used to have to nightwatch all night. As an ambo, you never know when you'll get a call, so learn to sleep at odd hours.

I do hope Sabby is ok---she will report in later. Bye for now Michael

Good Tuesday morning - physio in an hour today and again tomorrow. My shoulder had been feeling better for about a week after the corticosteroid injection, but it's been going downhill again since. :(

When I wrote yesterday that I was going to be busy, I wasn't kidding. I ended up working until 11 pm last night, after starting at 6:30 am! I had a very long conference call, which dug into a lot of the day and I had to go to the bank to deposit a couple of cheques that arrived while I was away last week. The only problem with that plan was - I lost the cheques.

I don't know about others, but I am Very routine oriented and if I do things outside the routine, bad things happen. :lol2:

I opened the envelopes in a room I don't usually open them and after checking the contents, I threw away the envelopes. Yesterday afternoon, when I was ready to go to the bank, I couldn't find the cheques anywhere! I looked everywhere they could possibly be and then it occurred to me to check the trash. Yup, that's where they were. Nice and wet and covered in coffee grounds. thank goodness it was only coffee!

My 18-yr-old said to me, "I guess it's a great thing I didn't empty the garbage yet" (I'd been hassling him about taking the garbage out.). :bowingpur

sigh.

Ok, another day... let's go.... yup, let's get up and get started...I'm going, I'm going... ok, give me another few minutes...

Good Morning!!!

I've been up since 5:45...pretty close to my work sleep pattern. Went to bed at 10:00 pm. I still have fits of poor sleep. Wonder what it's like to lie your head down and not move for 8 hours? If I can't sleep, I'll grab a book and stay in bed, or meditate, if I got up and turned on electronics, I'd be done with sleep. :)

I've swept and mopped and started washing the sheets. Need to go to the gym, get my watch repaired and a new battery, and get a haircut. Work Wed. & Thurs and have a 3-day weekend coming up. w00t

Ah, sleep. I remember when I could sleep a solid 8 hours. It has been years since then. Now if I get 6 hours I figure it is a good night. Night before last I don't think I slept 1 hour total in fits and snatches. Last night my usual 6, Thank You God.

My prayers added to all of yours for Sabby. Tweety, enjoy those days off. Mary, sounds great to walk at night. What a wonderful thing you did. Clemmm, I have lost checks as well. I guess we all have. makes me feel so dumb. My routine is not as fixed as when I was younger but I seem to get into trouble if I throw a money wrench into my usual chaos.

Today have group and lunch with the ladies. Then drive for Family Promise tonight and rest of week. I have drive duties for GD Wed and Fri. also so will be busy later in the day those days, fighting rush hour traffic.

Got to get at my laundry. The clothes seem to be dancing around my room and having too much fun to go get clean but I know they are multiplying in there.:uhoh3: There really is good reason why we were not allowed to dance closer than 12 inches (way in the past). Proof is in the dirty laundry. I know the piles got larger since I sorted it.

Cooler and should be great weather today. Tomorrow promises rain. I have heard that often lately and I keep promising my plants that a drink is coming. They keep telling me they are thirsty. My rain berrel is getting low so have been reluctant to empty it for flowers when I know the special tomatoes and the strawberries really need it. Check in later. Have a wonderful day.

Hello all ... I post today with a heavy heart. May I ask for your thoughts and prayers for two Australian soldier's who were killed yesterday - 7th June - in Afghanistan.

As you know, my own Ds is a serving Australian soldier, and as part of the defence family, we feel deeply at this tragic loss of young Australian lives.

The fact these two young men died on our DS's birthday, makes their loss felt even more deeply. One soldier comes from here in our own state, was married with a young son.

I hate this useless war! :(

********************************************************

Thinking of dear Sabby and hoping all is well.

********************************************************

Hold your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you and that you love them.

Nothing else matters in life more than those we love and care for.

Grace sorry to hear about the further losses among Australia's soldiers.

Liddle AKY Tweety I hope you all can get some decent sleep.

clemm it was good you didn't empty the garbage.

Morning Di Michael Mary.

Last shift went fine, yesterday after my nap I got both laundry and shopping done. Today have to take the cat to the vet and make a few phone calls (and go to the gym), but other than that I'm pretty much free. I don't work again until tomorrow night.

Woke up with a bit of a headache after some strange dreams...car troubles and a concert I was supposed to sing for but wasn't ready. Wonder if it was because I forgot my coffee yesterday...

Grace

Good morning everyone from sunny California. :)

Just got back from the elementary school Accelerated Math and Reading assembly. Danny has been working all year to be #1 in 2nd grade and his main opponent is a girl who is a friend and she beat him. But he still seemed happy - he is #8 in the whole school.

As soon as I finish this, my focus is going to be on getting this house cleaned up for company. My oldest son and his girlfriend will be here Friday - they are stopping to see us on the way to Reno for his sister's graduation from high school.

I'm grateful that the weather is good - and that I got a good night's sleep. I usually get 8 hours of sleep although I do have occasional times of insomnia.

clemmm - I threw an insurance check away a few months ago - our stuff goes into the woodstove. :uhoh3:

Sabby - thinking of you! :redbeathe
