I'm not quit as old as you, but I am close. Anyway, my breasts have turned into what I call udders, the skin on my arms has sagged so much they make my arms look like wings, and I can't see my stomach anymore because it has turned into an apron. 79096048_733423983837094_5231091908205346816_o.jpg.ad54cb724e55ee798731c73eaea3bc9f.jpg

An old Red Skelton "Gertrude and Heathcliff" joke. (G. + H. are, I think, Seagulls.)

Heathcliff: Gertrude, you've been untrue, you've been untrue to me!

Gertrude: Why, I never have been untrue to you!

Heathcliff: Well, then WHY are our kids pigeon-toed?!!

🙄😏

I am only in my mid 60's. The 87 in my last post was just a number for effect. 😂😂👴👴

Have had quite elderly patients say to me: "Why am I still here? Why am I still alive?" I'd ask them if they were breathing when they woke up that morning. The answer was always "yes."

Well, there's your answer!

If you 'woke up', and you weren't breathing, you wouldn't be here asking me those questions! Most responded with a laugh, and a few threw a pillow or a kleenex at me: "Ooooh, YOU!"

What a question! I know why I'm still here.......God is still keeping me alive. He has numbered our days.

Why, when I read this hysterical post out loud, was I the only who 😂'd? The other people in this house don't seem to have even any little fleck of humor in their heads or hearts. Or an appreciation for the vagaries of bowel events.

*sigh*

I don't know what I would do w/o AN's Blue Side!

But I do believe most if not all have dealt with the BIG CODE BROWN, & with some it even ran down their uniform or the patient's gown.😁

Any nurse here who has never been baptized by vomit or poop or pee, raise your hands!
