Good morning!

Joe, glad the 90 day review went well.

NB, so sorry about the stress in your life and hope that things settle down for you soon.

BC, sorry you can't make it to the Island this weekend.  Hope you have a good Friday.

Stars, nice of the neighbor to able to step up to the plate and watch Nannie for you.

J22, glad at least the beer was good.  🙂

Work was okay.  I was switched to the other wing and had a new assignment but I checked on the patient I had yesterday with the hypotension.  She was good throughout the night but started out with the day 80/50 but came up nicely as the day progressed and was asymptomatic.  My new assignment was okay but didn't have a tech as it's the day the tech that quit usually works.  We have a bunch of sitter cases throughout the hospital so they weren't able to float any.  Her replacement though is in training.

It is so muggy here.  The "feels like" temp because of the humidity when I left work after 8:00 was 100 degrees even though it was only 87.  I usually don't notice humidity that much but yuck.

Off today and not much going on.

Have a great day.

Morning Tweety

Work was challenging yesterday.  Computer issues, still not resolved.  New procedure to try and implement.  Someone wanting help seeing an out of network providers, can be tricky to arrange.   And in the morning my anxiety kept flaring up for no reason, even before any of this other stuff happened.

Calmer this morning and glad it's Friday

Rest of the day was pretty normal, just grocery shopping and exercise

Choir is going to try and find time to meet with the fill in organist to sing at least a few times, until we get a new choir director.  Going to see how it goes, to be honest choir was taking a lot out of me, now that we have a break I wonder if I'll be eager to return to the grind

Will meet J for dinner tonight.  He forgot to call last night so we'll have to make plans via email

Still quite cool here, and should continue to be so throughout the weekend

I wish you all the happiest Friday possible.

I had a migraine yesterday and couldn't even sleep. Slept better last night and feel OK.

Good afternoon and Happy  Friday to everyone!

It's my once a month Friday off, and it's been a productive day.  I went to the dentist, the gym, and had my nails done.  I stopped at the local farm and bought a bunch of little cucumbers and made pickles.  They also had little watermelons and canteloupes for a dollar each, so I bought some of those, along with fresh corn.  I will feast tonight!  I'll be leaving in a few minutes for a hair appointment, and will start a load of laundry before I leave.  I also need to do a little research to find a reputable charity that is helping in the Bahamas so I can make a donation.

Tweety-I'm glad the hypotensive patient is doing ok.  I kinda like that kind of humidity.  It beats freezing cold any day, in my book.

Joe-I hope today is better at work.  Do you think you'll stay with the choir?

Herring-I'm sorry about the migraine.  I'm glad you were able to sleep last night.

Stars-That's great that your neighbor will Nannie-sit while you have your procedure done.  Now you just have to find your way to the hospital.

Hi to J22, Ted, Dianah (is she still in Alaska?), Amo, NurseBlaq, and anyone else who stops by.

TBH I'm not sure.  Was pretty burned out after last season.  And I think it will be more difficult going forward as life will get busier

Afternoon greetings. I'm envious of all you folk who accomplish so many tasks.

I'm impressed that I actually made a 'dump cake' yesterday. Apple butterscotch with cream cheese and Cap'n Crunch cereal. Weird sounding but very good.

I haven't tried much food prep as my endurance to stand & balance is limited. The HHA arrived just as I was finishing the topping. She did the oven-ing part. Difficult for me to lift, stand & balance. We had some cake as soon as it could cool down a bit - vanilla ice cream would have been good (didn't have any). I had her take just about half the 9x13 pan home with her. I don't need the calories - she' s 22, 118 lbs, athletic. I think she's attractive.

I've been lucky to have connected with such a good HHA. I wish she could be cloned! I know the horror stories are out there, but I've been lucky. Only drawback is that the agency is so costly (like all the agencies).

She's 22 - VERY tech savvy. I now realize how antique and behind the times I am. Had to get a new cordless phone system. I want my old one back!!! I'm muddling my way thru trying to get the hang of the directions. The HHA showed me how to work my DVD/VCR.

Not sure how closely y'll follow the postings on the yellow side but I've come to the belief that the practice of nsg is becoming very unsatisfying for so many. So on TV news at noon, there was a clip of a nurse from south Jersey retiring after 41 years from her ONE job. Her peers were celebrating with her. Forty-one years one place! Didn't mention where it was.

Another busy day, 2 home visits. Helped a person with limited English language find out who called her family member short term memory loss and scheduled an appt. Family member got the address and the date and time, but couldn't remember what the appt was for. And we get so many scam calls that she was worried.

I reached out to a so-called case manager for the same person to see if they could reschedule an eye appt with a local office instead of in the big city, but nooo, they thought it was easier to make someone again with limited English do it herself. SMH 🤦‍♀️

Enough negativity! The sun is out, temps are mild and its Friday. Cake sounds yummy. Amo, if I send you my address, could you overnight a piece? Just kidding, but it does sound weird, but good.

I am so done with this day...

Sunny, hot, breezy; Nannie's been emotionally stable and went to bed early. Braves Ballgame in PM.  We were winning 4 - 3  when we switched channels, because it is time to watch Johnny Carson. Then it'll be the usual walk the dog, go to bed and read. Tomorrow morning we'll say, "I wonder who won the game last night?"
