NJ22 that sounds like good weather to stay in

Stars hope the side effects from the vaccine fade soon

It's my day off, since my birthday falls on Sunday.  Going birdwatching this morning, might stop at the arboretum too.  Then will meet dad for lunch and afterwards get my Covid booster.  Will meet J for dinner as usual.

Also going to pick up a Chromebook, I've decided it's a good time to find a more capable alternative to the tablets which I've used for several years

Work was fine yesterday, ended on a quiet note. Stomach finally settled down.  Vestry meeting ran long, a lot to discuss with the rectory, thankfully there wasn't a lot of other business to discuss.

Quite cold today, in the 20s right now, will get up into the 30s.  Thankfully the rain is holding off

Hubby said he slept like a rock last night, and his S/E's from the injections have pretty much ceased. Except his stomach is still bothering him. He's just recently discovered for himself (in spite of MANY YEARS of instructions  or suggestions from MOI about this:) if he eats something before he takes his meds, his stomach doesn't feel so bad. Wow! What an idea! JENIUS!

Just after Nannie asked me how my hubby had slept last, she asked him. He said he really couldn't say because he was asleep at the time.

Hubby said his daughter and grand-daughter (15 y.o.) called this AM and said they were coming over to visit today. Fortunately he talked them out of coming today, so I guess they will come tomorrow.

(Whoop-dee-doooo.)

Nanny will love the attention, I'm sure. My step-daughter has a very treacly way of talking to her, not quite baby talk, but using an exaggerated, similar tone of voice, and it makes me want to barf, but Nannie loves it. I wish I could record it so you could hear her. If someone spoke to me like that I might feel compelled to remind them that I am not an idiot and that their insincerity oozes through the words they spoke. (But that wouldn't be polite, would it.) GADS!

We have bright sun and a cold wind, and temps in the mid-to-upper 50's.

There was a big, long discussion about how the yard is covered with leaves once again. Then the conversation twixt hubby and Nannie turned into a tedious extravaganza of anecdotes about bowels and bowel habits, the most recent of events being yesterday. I tell you what, if it gets any more fun and fascinating, I may expire from the pure joy of this h'yar family life.

And so the days go on......

Good afternoon.

Had a busy day at work.  Started with 6:1 ratio, started two IVs, discharged two people, had one go AMA, got an admission.  Left only 45 minutes late.  My student doesn't have access to the computer but is doing well otherwise.

Off until after Thanksgiving.  w00t

Home sick.  Sneezing and blowing my nose.  Nose started dripping yesterday and developed during the night, so I called off.  I felt bad calling off, as we are running with a skeleton crew.  But I can't work and blow my nose every five minutes, and I don't want to be accused of coming to work w/Covid when it's just a cold.

Have a good evening!
