Morning

Slower day at work yesterday

After work exercised and worked on getting my new bike rack ready.  Had not expected it to arrive for another week.  Took a while but I think it's ready, tried it out on the car, will try it later with the bike.  Also stopped at the bakery.

Rained very heavily last night

Today should be quiet both at work and after work.  Glad the work week is almost over

Weather should be pretty good the next day or two, though more rain on Sunday

Good morning.

Joe hope you have a good day at work.  Happy Friday.

Ted, very nice pictures.

Dianah, we're having a fly over here today as part of them getting their normal flight hours.

Stars, congrats on the new car!

I didn't post yesterday because I added irritability to my depressed mood and was tired from a long exhausting short-staffed day.

Mood is much better today but I feel myself being triggered to irritability and will get off the internet.  Off today and working the weekend.

Have a great day.

Good Morning 🙂

Joe - Curious. What type of bike rack did you get?? We purchased one a number of years ago and couldn't figure out how to attach it to the car. Luckily, both of our bikes fit inside Amy's car, which gives us options to where we can go bike riding. Hope work is kind to you today.

Tweety - I'm easily irritated, as well. It was good that Amy and I went hiking the other day. We both needed the fresh air and sunshine, and to get out from the confines of our home. Enjoy your day off from work.

Been up since around 3:30 AM. Been working on creating a video from the photos & videos that I took the other day. I find the editing process to be calming. It's another creative outlet which I enjoy, and editing video allows me to be really, really picky (with color-grading, panning, flow of the edits, etc., etc.). I recently finished a rough "master" of the video. The next step is to add sound effects (like wind blowing through tree, the sound of birds chirping, etc.), and to add music. Adding light underscore music is my favorite part of the process, of course.

The weather forecast calls for severe thunderstorms in the afternoon into the evening.  I'm scheduled to work tonight. I hope I don't have to run through the rain as I get from the car to inside the hospital. (Blech!)  All of the rain is making the grass grow high. I'll probably mow the lawn Sunday and/or Monday (when I'm off from work). It'll be the first lawn-mowing of the season. (I can feel those achy muscles already.)

dianah- It's cool to read that your two favorite players live near where I live. I'm gonna check out their music later!

NSIME - Congrats on the new car! It always take me a little while to get used to where things are located when driving new (and different) cars. Hope your Kia lasts you a long time.

Hope all have a pleasant day today. Peace! 🙂

Ted

Good morning. I was too tired to post last night. I had a busy day at work getting our new TB patient started on therapy. There are lots of forms to fill, data to enter, and getting her contact investigation going. I will be going to her home daily, at least until Tuesday. She is super nice and eager to get treated.

Stars, yay for new cars! The Prius that I get to (am forced to) drive  at work has the gear shift in the dash board! "Park" is a button you push, and the other gears are changed with a doohickey that looks more like a stick shift. I imagine you will get better milage now.

Tweety, I am almost always irritated at work, which is a big reason why I work 1/2 time. I am thankful that is an option.

Ted, the pictures were lovely. The first lawn mow!? Perhaps with your house refinance you should consider a riding mower?

Dianah, your dh seems to have found a found a happy place for jamming. Lucky find with the uniform shop!.

Joe, I need a bike rack. When I take my bike place I put it in the pick up but I worry about messing up the shifting and derailleur. If you like yours can you share what brand?

Hi herring, BC, amp, and others if you come along.

The type of bike rack I have is the Saris Bones 2.  I used their online fit guide to find one that would fit my car.  I previously used the Saris Solo, which was great and easy to use, but won't fit my current car.

Yo! It is still morning and I've been up for an hour. Hubby just now got up, looking like he combed his hair with an egg-beater. Fortunately, after his coffee, he cleans up nice.

Tweety and j22, Yep, I am also irritable, and we all know why! Having a new car is wonderful, but the Nannie situation drags on. And OOOHHHHH WELL !

I'm glad to see more posters today, it gets lonely in here when a lot of y'all lay out; but it is perfectly understandable!

We are to be having a week in the 80's. Right now we have a cool breeze while sitting on the patio in the shade. Not humid, though. I sat out on the front porch for about 5 minutes with the sun glaring on me, WHEW! It got HOT!

Have not had my daily paper delivered now for 6 days. Customer Service confirms I am paid up through the end of August. I thanked them for getting back to me on this matter, but begged them to inform the people who are supposed to deliver the paper! Getting a credit for each paper not received is all well and good, and I do read it on line when it doesn't arrive in the paper box ... however I wake up by drinking my coffee and doing the puzzles, and on-line just AIN'T the same as holding a folded newspaper and a pen.

Welp, all for now. Y'all have a wonderful (or at least tolerable) day!

It is about ten AM here. I woke up about 7:00 am and came here because I was one who  didn't post here yesterday. But I didn't have my glasses on and the letters were blurry so am finally posting.

Now we have had eggs for breakfast and watched "Lets Make a Deal".

While I was in the front yard a woman walked by waving and saying "Good morning" to everyone. She was wearing big red earrings, red framed glasses, red jeans, and a red mask. The neighbors outside smoking joined me in waving and saying "Good Morning".

Afternoon, all-

Add me to the list of those irritated.  Mine is all work related.  I asked my boss when he felt he could restore my salary, even if it's incremental, and I got the run around.  Then I found out he spent $$$ on some stupid team building consultant.  That is pretty dang low on the list of priorities right now, in my opinion.  That also seems to be the opinion among the rest of the staff.  So, the resume is updated and ready to go.  I'd have my pick of jobs if I was a psych NP, but that's not my cup of tea, nor my certification.  I will keep looking and hopefully something good will come along.  Weather's nice, anyway.  It's about 70 and sunny.  My last telemed visit is at 2:00 and then I'll go sit on the deck for a bit.  I planted 2 new rosebushes yesterday and ordered some mulch to be delivered Monday.

Joe-Hope the bike rack works out and you get to use it this weekend.

Tweety-Sorry to hear that your mood is not so great.  Maybe a walk on the beach is in order.  Vitamin Sea is so therapeutic.

Stars-Congrats on the new car!  It will be nice not to have to worry about check engine lights.  I hope you start getting your paper again.

J22-  Your job sounds interesting, despite the crazy one.  I like the public health /epidemiology realm.

Ted-Please keep those thunderstorms out your way!  I hope they've passed by the time you have to run into work!

Herring-I hope you have a wonderful day.

Take care all.

Thank you for the info, Joe. Dd has one that attaches like that, which I would rather do than on top of the car because I am vertically challenged. I'm short, okay?

Anyway, she was going to lend it to me and then I remembered that it made her rear hatch so heavy that it came down on her head. She got a mild concussion and needed her scalp glued shut. I am sure the newer ones are lighter.

Hello all!

Joe, hope your rack works well for you!

Ted, waiting for a new Green Room video...  not that they're a lot of work or anything...  😂

Tweety, hope you enjoyed your day off!  Re-group, re-charge before the weekend.  We are still finishing leftovers, and then I want to make the white bean soup with the recipe you shared.  Thanks again.

herring, sounds like a friendly person, dressed in red!

BCGrad, I hope you are able to find a mutually acceptable position near you.  It is disappointing to change, if one is settled in.  But ultimately one's position must be a good fit, and only you know if/when that is true.

Today the Thunderbirds flew over the area hospitals, in formation.  My friend at my former workplace took a video, and it was impressive to see!  I got all teary-eyed watching them fly past!

I was stationed in the Stress Lab today, as someone called off sick.  Our cases went smoothly.  We do about half as many per day, as pre-Covid, so we don't have more than one patient in the Stress area at a time.

As has become routine, we have no plans for the weekend.  Chores and laundry and some cleaning and reading.

Hope you have a good evening!
