Morning

Was a pretty good day at work, productive and not that busy

Exercised and did some crafting after work

Today we have the mysterious new monthly meeting.  Suspecting it will be a pretty short how are you doing meeting, doubt I'll be on the phone more than 10 min.  We have another meeting after that with the auditors, probably our usual educational meeting, probably won't be too helpful

After work will pick up some takeout from the Mexican place for tomorrow. Will also do some more crafting

Going to get down to freezing tonight, hopefully it won't be too cold tomorrow morning, was hoping to get outside then

Joe, I wonder what these meetings are intended to accomplish -- in the long run?  I guess that will be revealed today.

Happy Friday!

Am off to work.  Have a good day!

Greater LA VA Nurses Week Committee put together this parody of Bohemian Rhapsody, performed by RNs:

Love it Dianah!

I keep forgetting to order Mexican food. Our favorite has been run by the same family or >50 years. The little kids we used to see are now running the place. Due to GREAT FOOD and a view of traffic many, like us, took their food home before this. Now whenever I walk or drive by they are busy with take out.

Love the Covidian Rhapsody!

It's been a busy week for me.  Work is busy with a lot of paperwork that I don't ordinarily do.  Next week I will be in the office on Monday and Wednesday.  I'm still only doing telemedicine visits, but we're starting allergy shots again and a provider needs to be present.  We are only letting one patient in at a time to the office, and they have to wait their required 30 minutes post shot in their car.  We will have a medical assistant outside to do pre-screening, take temperatures, and then let people into the office.

I baked a loaf of bread this morning that I started yesterday. I think I'm getting addicted to the smell of fresh bread, but I will need to lay off of this sooner rather than later.  Fiance has had some interviews this week, and has already been called back for round 2 on 2 positions.  Keep your fingers crossed for him, please.

Joe-Hope the meeting wasn't a waste of your time.  Stay warm!

Dianah and Herring-hope you are having good days.

Take care, all.

I too enjoyed the Covidan Rhapsody! We all know, of course, that nurses are amazing!

I went for a bike ride this morning and the darn wind seemed to switch direction every time I did. I only went 7 miles, but it felt like 20. As I got home eldest ds stopped by to return the lawn mower that he borrowed last night. He picked up much the cardboard that the new greenhouse was packaged in to drop at the recycle. I pulled weeds for about an hour in our asparagus patch, and now I am having lunch and waiting for the washing machine. Exciting times! I would love to just jump on a plane and travel somewhere I've never been. Perhaps North Carolina, New York, Florida or the Boston area. I miss traveling. The fund raiser bike ride that we were going to attend in New York State has been canceled. Boo. I had dh talked into trying to meet Ted and Amy.

BC, that is good news about fiance. I will cross fingers and toes.

Mexican food does sound good. The best Mexican food I ever had was near Pomona, CA. I think the restaurant was called La Paloma.

Stars, I see you posted on Thursday's thread for today. That sounds like an awful day with Nannie. Yes, dear the fire is completely out. It doesn't really matter if it was never lit. Did she pay the neighbor for the lawn mowing?

Oops, yep, I was reading yesterday's posts and then jumped right in and added mine, as if it was a post for today.

Yep, uh-huh, it sure is a day; It's a Sun-Downing Day in the Neighborhood, a beautiful craze of no effing good; let's drink wine, try to get blind...

Becept I can't drink because of my meds. But 'wine' and 'blind' rhymed with 'mine', so there it is. I thought of other rhyming words, like 'whine', 'swine', and 'twine', but it was a lot ruder, and I hate to get TOS upset...

Friayay

Birch syrup is on the fire.  The stream is under control.  The greenhouse is snowfree! It's a stay at home time of year.

BC, fresh bread certainly DOES smell good!  And the flavor!  With some butter melting on it...  yummy!  But oh!  the carbs!!  🙄🙄🙄🙄

nursej22, you sure got a lot done today!  How big is the new greenhouse?  I, too, would love to travel.  'Cept dh doesn't want to fly.  MAYBE take a train.  But really, he wants us to take the little RV.  Which means I need MUCH more time off work for traveling.  Guess we'll have to wait till after I retire.  Oh, and how much asparagus do you have planted??  we love it!

Hello toomuchbaloney!  It was 94 degrees here when I left work at 4pm.  T'would be nice for it to be a stay-at-home time!

Joe, what did you order from the Mexican restaurant?

Have a good evening!
