Morning

TGIF

Fairly normal day at work yesterday.  Hopefully today will be the same.

Exercised and did grocery shopping yesterday

Talked to J, he needs another root canal, not happy about that but at least the appointment isn't until after he comes back from California.  J's elderly friend is having great difficulty with lower extremity edema, he's not sure if she's notified the doctor so he's going to do so.  Hopefully she just needs an increase in diuretics and doesn't need to be admitted

Did not weight myself last week, so it was nice to see that my weight loss has continued, though at a slower pace.  Hopefully I'll be at my goal before the summer

Should be a fairly ordinary weekend for me, which will be nice given how busy last weekend was

Weather is a bit cooler today, but the rain has stopped

Good Morning!

Congrats on the weight loss Joe, keep up the good work.  Sorry to hear about the root canal.   As I've said, I loathe going to the dentist and dental work.

Stayed up a bit a late and slept decently.  Woke up and it was a bit chilly and the heat is on, but it's already 60 out and will warm up to 73 so the heat will probably not run much.

My weight is stable lately, probably because not giving in to a lot of work temptation (a family member brought lots of chocolates and brownies yesterday), and in fact a little on the lower side of my goal, which is good because my goal is not too ambitious.

Off today, so going to do some laundry, exercise and cook.

Have a great day.

It is sunny and bright in the Blue Grass.

Yesterday's rain was weird. It would pour, then sunny skies, then pour and repeat.

Working next three nights. Oh, how I don't want to go to work.

Hope all have a good day.

Hi,

Clouds have moved in, but a few sun breaks. TGIF! Meeting 2 friends after work for a beer and some chuckles. Dh is going to his PCP today to check out some calf pain he has had for a few weeks. I suspect diabetic neuropathy, but we shall see. He keeps taking excedrin for the pain, which I don't think is a great idea, but what do I know?

Weight loss? What is that? I plan to start going to the gym again, next week, as much for conditioning as anything. I have no stamina lately.

Got some calls to make,

Afternoon, all of yez guyz!

Paid bills...ALL of 'em!!!!! 😊. No payments due until this date next month. Whew!

3 & 1/2 loads of laundry in progress.

Refilled medisets for Nannie and for me.

Got take-out lunch from the family restaurant we frequent. Friday is meatloaf day and they make excellent from-scratch food. Nannie had meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, fried okra, corn bread, and a huge to-go cup of sweetened iced tea with 3 pieces of lemon. I had a salad to which I added some olives.[don't tell anybody, but two days ago I suddenly began eating much better and healthier!]

OK, Nel, I was just looking through the paper version of this catalog  WWW.LIGHTERSIDE.COM ... and there on page three was a black t-shirt ($17.98) with a drawing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the front,   1 word over and 1 word below her head, it reads:

"NOTORIUS"  ... "RBG"

I immediately said  to myself,  "HA! Gotta tell NEL!"

We got our sunshine back today, and a good deal of wind with some gusting. 56 degrees, feels like... ?  ... Like it's not 56 degrees!

Gotta go get busy with the last load of laundry.

Thanks, Stars.

BC likes RBG, too.

Sam Adams beer announced today that they are naming a brew for RBG.

Yep. I just love her!

Nannie ate good, didn't she?

Good Afternoon!

Been sequestered in my studio these past couple of days. Finally finished that composition that I started last month. It ain't necessarily brilliant. But, it was helpful. Of course it's dedicated to my father. His death didn't necessarily compel me to write this piece. However, the process involved in composing and sequencing (recording) this instrumental helped bring back precious memories of my father. Beside doing the actual composing, I've been sitting in my studio thinking. . . reflecting. . . mourning. . . missing. . . loving. This original composition may not be the most brilliant piece ever written, but it's from the (somewhat self-absorbed) heart.

Think I'm going to take a shower now. It's been a couple of days!

Much affection to you all. . .

Ted, I really liked this.  Could hear the two, you and your dad, in it, his spirit soaring, and the two still echoing back and forth.  Hugs.

Home now.  Yay.  Too pooped to celebrate.  Want to eat, though, so will have to throw something together.

Have a good evening!

Tonight Nannie told me she didn't feel like going to school tomorrow! I said, "Nannie, You are through with school." She said, "I'm through with the first grade..." I told her that, at any rate, she has no classes to attend tomorrow, or the rest of the month. She said, "Well, that's good. I just don't want to sit in class all day."

She ate half her lunch at 1 PM and the other half of it for her supper.

Day before yesterday she had a fall, not severe, but definitely a loss of balance. She just HAD TO get up without her walker, and cross the room to straighten out the cover and pillows on the sofa where the dogs and I set up camp. Anyway, she fell forward head-first into the cushions, with her knees buckling and landing on the rug. No injuries.

I have to share this w/ y'all:

I usually read Astrology predictions after the day is over, just to see what was s'posta have been. So, I found this funny/odd/weird horoscope. The sign it was for hardly matters. It just made me laugh.

"Don't worry; you"re good at being a person. This is not even a question. There are certain things you don't need to question, and this is one of them. Move along."

Uh, okay; thanks. Yup, that certainly would make one feel better and give one hope.

Now, I ask you, ain't it just the stupidest thing?🙄
