Morning

Pretty good day at work, actually got someone to agree to case management.  First time in a week.  Rest of the day was fairly good too, pretty productive

After work was busy.  Stopped at the bank and grocery store and exercised.  Managed to get done in time for the online meeting our environmental group was having.  Sent my resume to a former coworker who is a director at a local hospital

Today might be busy at work as I'm covering for a coworker who is off.  Tonight I'm meeting J for dinner at one of our usual places

Glad the weekend is almost here.  Warmer today and in the 40s by the weekend.  Glad that it seems the cold weather has finally left

Good Morning!

Joe,  hope it's not too crazy busy for you.

Herring, hope step-mom's eating gets better.  Nutrition in older folks is always a challenge.

Our night shift tech was a no-call no show and apparently quit.  Yesterday a tech that floated from another floor 30 minutes into her shift quit siting personal problems (wonder if she would have done this on her own floor).  Two RNs walked off the job and quit the other day.   Is this a new thing in a good economy (one of the RNs already has a job after just a couple of days where people can just quit and other employers don't care and hire them anyway?

I'm trying to set some of the coworkers straight on the lies the RNs that quit are spreading.   I'm also saying that when you clock in, you are announcing your intent to take an assignment and if the assignment is appropriate (like 3:1 med surg assignments) and you walk off the job and quit it's reportable to the BON and a form of abandonment even if you didn't get report.  People don't understand this.

But I'm also going to let it go now. It's not my affair.  The honesty and work ethics of people around me is very disappointing.

Off today and working the weekend.  Yay!

Going to take a break for some reflection.  So if you don't see me on the boards, I'm okay.

Oh, no Tweety!

I am very curious as to what is going on at your facility.

I understand and agree with what you said about clocking in, willing to accept assignment, and the quitting.

But what is going on over there?

These people are behaving in a drastic manner.

It snowed overnight. Not much. Just enough to make you groan because it it March 8, not January 8.

Do you have a quota at work, Joe?

Trying to arrange a trip in June, to visit my friend on Nantucket, with my friends from NY.

Hopefully, it will come together.

Working this weekend. Anxious to see what, if anything has been done about the rude, sleeping tech.

No quota yet but management wants one

I was wondering about that.

Morning-

Still cold.  Supposed to warm up a bit this weekend.  Come on, Spring!

Tweety-We will miss you, but I hope some time away refreshes you. Sounds like your workplace is taking a nose dive into chaos.  I also don't understand some people's work ethic and sheer gall.

Joe-How was the meeting with the environmental group?  Have a nice evening with J.

Nel-Hope the snow doesn't last long.  I hope you get to go to Nantucket.  It's one of my favorite places.

Can't wait to get out of here today.  Working my 3 hour shift tomorrow.

The trip to Nantucket appears to be moving along, BC.

My friend who lives there, reminded us that it isn't warm on the island in early June.

That is fine with us.

I remember helping a college friend move from the dorm on Beacon Street, to his family's summer house on Martha's Vineyard, years ago, at the end of May.

We were freezing COLD, in that gingerbread cottage!

At least my friend on Nantucket has an actual house.

Hope the day goes by fast for you.

Heading out to Biggie.

I will miss you Tweety! Y'all come back now, y'hear?

Goodness gracious sakes alive, Nel ... I never meant for your horses to be pulling the Conestoga. Hire a guy who has a team of mules or oxen and he can do the heavy stuff. Have Biggie and Tilda (sorry, the name has slipped my mind; only know it starts with a "T") in a deluxe Conestoga-Horse-Trailer. Nuthin' but the best!

I read that another whoop-dee-doo of a storm is heading across the upper mid-west; we'll get rain here, mostly, but North of us is in for more snow, and that means Ted's area, and maybe a bit further east before it goes up and out to sea.

S'cold and gray here. Hubby cleaned house and I went grocery shopping. Nannie stayed in her recliner. Dog's slept and after having their supper, are once again asleep on the sofa.

Didn't I tell y'all last week that you can blink and it's Friday again? Well, here we are!

TA!

Ahh. The dream, Stars.

Put the horses in back of the trailer, Wally up front in the dually, and camp out with the ponies.

Such a nice dream.
